if someone hurt you really badly, but then after a few months said sorry, would you forgive them?

depending on how they hurt u. i was hurt and i just left it all alone, few years later im back with her and engaged. time will heal but it takes true love to forgive!

There's that quote: "When you forgive someone, you find that the prisoner you are freeing is yourself." Forgiveness is an extremely powerful action. Of course, it all depends on the what exactly the "hurt" is, but in most/all cases, it's best to forgive. It allows you to move on, to be a better person, to understand that the person who hurt you is human enough to realize their mistakes.

If someone asks for forgiveness you should forgive them. If it were physical or verbal abuse and you were involved with them I would first ask the person to go to couple counseling together. You do not want to get involved with someone who abuses you unless they see that they have a problem and are willing to get help for it.

It's very difficult, it depends on teh circumstances and you also dont want them thinking they can hurt you easily & then get away with it just like that, they will only do it again.
You can be forgiving, sure, it depends what they did & what the situation was, however don't be a push over either & go with your gut instinct (It's usually right).

You can forgive them and accept their apology, but that doesn't mean you have to allow them back into your life.

I would forgive them if they were truly sorry. If they didn't sincerely mean their apology, then they can try again another time.

i would .....forgive but a would not trust this person again ....we could talk go out together ....but if were a bf i would not get back together
