My fiance and I would love a bridal/wedding shower or an engagement party -- not for the presents, just for the fun and celebration. Unfortunately, none of our families/friends are the types to throw parties -- they just aren't the type to think of it. We don't have a big wedding party and our honor attendants are all out of town, too -- so none of our local friends or relatives have a "title" that would hint to them that it's their responsibility.

Is there a good way way to hint that we would love for someone to throw us a party? Is it poor form if we directly ask his parents? (They would be the most likely candidates....) Should we just expect to throw ourselves our own engagement/shower/bachelorette shindigs? I hear about these expensive spa trips and crazy bridal themes...we really don't want the pricey stuff...just a little get-together so we can take a break from all the planning and feel like our love is celebrated.

I am SO over being single. EVERY single one of my friends has a boyfriend. I feel so left out and even today somebody said "Sara, you should go out with ****. You look so lonely all the time and you need some lovin'" But i don't know how to get guys to like me/ask me out. I really want a boyfriend. but how can i speed up the process?

he has acted like was at worked.gone to lunch with ladies(raunchy ones)and to late dinners,some get togethers.all while I'm thinking he was at work.
he has left me 3 times and come.back one week later.
the last time he left.i begged like a dog for him to stay.
i feel apart cried a week straight.i thought i would die.he was mean to me during this 3 month break up.after he found out that i was putting my life back together again.during that time i had met a nice guy and dated him.my ex came back again he asked me if i slept with date guy and i said no.(the truth i could not even kiss him let alone hold his hand )we had a fight i said i had slept with date guy.because he insisted i did.so many times.he said he wanted me to take a lie detector test after i finally said that i have been way to honest and what i did was really none of his business anyway.i told him sorry and that i did not and that i had other male friends some at church and some new guy friends.as well as women friends when he was gone for 3 months and that was all.now he thinks. the worst of me and this has been months ago.he is mean he wont hug,kiss,or comfort me true trying times or illnesses.
i kiss his a*s all day long.

just asking...please dont be mean to me .i am bit low this time .i just need some advice or views.

i found my boyfriend watching porn online in yuvutu and other site too.each time i found him watching he suddenly close the windows down.

i really hate it when he watch porn though...do u think guys he is bored with me now.we been together for 20 months now

so that we could go to the movies and he didn't even show up. He clearly told me that he was single and when he didn't show up i IMed him the day after asking him what happened, but since i'm polite i said that i was sorry even though it wasn't my fault. He didn't show up. This is exactly what he said " leave me alone i have a girl" IN 1 DAY HE HAS A GIRL LOL. That's weird. He didn't even give me a chance. Me and my boyfriend Jake have been together for quite some time now. We have both talked about the future, marriage and kids etc. But today I asked him to marry me and he said no and couldn't come up with a reason why. I don't understand what i've done wrong? My Dad passed away 15 years ago when I was 9. I’ve only been to the cemetery twice since because his ashes were taken back to the small town where he grew up. This past weekend, I asked my boyfriend to drive 10 hours each way so I could visit his plot. While I was there, I couldn’t say what I wanted and I couldn’t even think straight and all I did was cry. I wanted to tell him about my new job and my boyfriend and how they would have gotten along because they both like football and he treats me great. I wanted to thank him for watching over me but those words couldn't even come out. I almost felt like I was a kid again when my Mom told me he died. I didn’t know what to say or think and all I did was cry. I think what I felt at the cemetery is normal but can someone just tell me that it is. I've moved on with my life but I still really miss him.

A childhood friend and I found each other online & met up Sat b/c he wants to see an old friend (me). We're 25. In his profile, it says he is looking for friendship, not dating. We went to cafe, talked, and lady selling pink roses passed by and he bought me one. I don't know if it was a date. We talked about how he must go thru 10 days of not eating meat to support his family being Buddhist. We joked about how it is hard for him to not eat meat. I gave him a hug when we parted. Afterwards, he left to eat dinner at a vegetarian place with his parents. While there, he texted"I hate eating veggies." I texted back (3 min later) "Aww poor thing..hang in there hehe." Some said what i texted was too much, obvious i'm interested (i don't want it to be obvious) & ball in his ct. They said i should've just texted "hang in there". It's been 2 days & he hasn't called. Is he looking for friendship & nothing more? He isn't calling b/c he doesn't want to lead me on? i want more but i should give up?

and the thing is, everyone around me has one. I mean, no guy has ever shown any attraction towards me, and i've never EVER heard of a guy liking me.
