Who cares? If a man can't like you for your personality, looks, the way you carry yourself and your intelligence then screw him. You didn't need a mope like that in your life anyway. If a man bases everything on just hair...well.....he isn't really a man. And we know you don't want to saddle yourself with a man-child.

I'm a Black woman who wears her hair natural.
The length was long, shoulder length. That is how my husband met me.
All of a sudden one day about 3 months ago I cut it!!
He loved it!!
He played in it before but now he really rubs my head and scalp. LOL!

In the past whenever I've cut my hair, both men and women have complimented me. Women have said they wish they could be as bold and cut their hair.
Men have commented when a woman cuts her hair, it says alot about her and her confidence.
I've heard both men and women say it's a sense of freedom and you're no longer concerned w/what others think.

My hair length now...I can barely twist it. (heehee)
Enjoy you! Truth be told, if you don't like it, it's only hair, it will grow back!

Have your hair cut and who cares if anyone else likes it. As long as you like it then that is all that matters. If you don't like your new haircut then you can always grow it out. I also have long hair and want to have mine cut but keep changing my mind. I have had the same hair style for a long time and am tired of my hair looking the same. When I have it cut short then I get more compliments on it. Short hair is alot easier to take care of.

I think most men don't care as long as it looks good. If your hair is damaged and has tons of split ends, don't try to hang on to it. That erks me when women do that. Just get it cut and start over. This question made me think of all those women with bad on hair on that TLC show "What Not to Wear".

You cant be serious?

Its your hair , men dont date women just because of their hair they date them for their personalities and their flamboyancy , if your dating someone who is hung up on length dump him and find a real man , and this is Marriage and Divorce not what ever section this question should be in.How old are you to be worrying about hair length?

Know what the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is? Oh about 2 weeks. Longer depending on how long it is. It will grow back, pick a style you like and go for it. If you don't like it let it grow back out, Good Luck oh and send me a pic of before and after I'll let you know what I think.

A lot of men prefer short hair because it's neater, and they don't have to spend so much time waiting around for you to style it....lol. That's what someone told me (after I had it cut) anyway .

It's your head and you are entitled to do with as you wish.
Possible consequence is that in dim lighting you look like a little boy. Maybe you'll enjoy the extra sleep.

*Very* few women look good with short hair.

Women who can pull it off: Sharon Stone, Halle Berry, Angela Bassett, Ashley Judd, Sharon Osbourne. What features do they share? Great cheekbones, great skin, nice figure, good proportion of rack to waist, somewhat narrow shoulders.

Women who can't pull it off: broad-shouldered women, earth pigs, heavy broads, and rice-bowl owners who keep using theirs as a template.

Give me longer hair *any* day, unless you are the EXACT TWIN of one of those women. (Not, "some of my friends say I look like" - no. you don't.)
