Her husband is not the father of her children and he cannot stand her children. He makes it known to their mother that he does not care for them. Yet, she still loves him and wants to be with him. Is it right? Would it be right for her kids to do away with their mother if she stays with him? Why would they want to accept their mother if she wants to be with someone that cannot accept her own flesh and blood? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!

I don't know any other ways to say it, I've been trying to be so nice about it. I don't want to get the law involved and he just not getting it. I need some advise.. how can you still be nice and break up with someone. I don't want to walk away knowing or thinking someone will hate me. What should I do?? Help please.

I've been invited to my neighbour's wedding - just the reception, not the ceremony. I don't know her all that well. I'm thinking of giving vouchers as a present but what would be an appropriate amount to spend?

What's the benefit of cheating? Why don't you just leave who you're with if you're not happy and move on?

My dad is going away for a 16 day trip to a third world country. He's going to be staying alone in a house, and he won't have much to eat. My mom went with him last year, but this year she's not going. I asked her why she wasn't going and then sort of indirectly suggested she ought to go again. The way I did this was by emphasizing how last year wasn't in vain; that she was there for DAD. Do you think that's out of line? I mean to even give indirect advice to a parent?

My sister-in-laws, brother in laws and in-laws all treat me like I'm this weirdo person because a long time ago I dealt with situational depression (my parents had gotten divorced & I had a really stressful job) but I am fine now. They are all so freaking disfunctional (screaming/yelling/fighting/lying/backstabbing) but act like everything is perfect and we all love & respect each other so much. Well, I don't play that crap. Therefore I am treated like the black sheep. My husband and I do not want children, so therefore we are "stingy, selfish, and mean"....mean being because my inlaws want more grandkids and my sister/brother inlaws want their kids to have more cousins. Sounds like a STUPID reason for me to have kids! They wouldn't be raising/feeding/paying for a baby and I don't want to either. Why are the pressuring me so much? Will I ever get them to see Im not crazy and get any respect from them? My husband has stood up for us mant times inwhich they all say "what r u talking about

He's way older than me (about 9-10 years), we're both adults and we work together. He joked on me for my 19th birthday that he was going to spank me, but I didn't think he was serious until I walked past him and he slapped my butt. Pretty hard, too, it left a mark and it stung for a while. Is this just joking around way too much? Why do guys like to slap girls' butts?

My older sister does not seem to like me at all, and I honestly do not know why. She blames me for absolutely everything that goes wrong in her life. Whenever she and my mom get in a fight, she says its my fault. She makes fun of my weight, and tries to beat me up and intimidate me. My mom tries to help me, but that makes it worse because then my sister says that my mom loves me more. She is always calling me stupid, although i have a higher grade average than she does. When I got my first job 4 months ago, she was really mad saying that i was too young to have one (im fifteen) but i think its becasue she tried to apply there when she was my age, but didnt get hired. She critizes every little thing i do and she honestly makes my life hell. How can I get along better with her, becasue i dont think i'll be able to live her much longer if she stays like this.

I'm just wondering what everyone's take is when a couple decides to separate to 'figure things out'. Everyone has their arguments & sometimes ends up in time away from eachother.

During this time away from eachother, do you think it's okay for one to meet other people & if the 'friendship' heats up & leads to sex, do you think this is acceptable?

I guess the real question is: when you separate & you sleep with someone, is this considered cheating or not, since you were not emotionally/physically together?

So I met this guy who was from Colorado,we got enaged, then he moved to NJ from Colorado to be with me.We had the whole wedding planned, everything booked, the whole deal. Then he tells me that he is having thoughts of not wanting to live in Jersey anymore.I have a son from a previous marriage so he already knew that there really wasnt anyway that I could move out of state. So he decides to take a couple of days to think about everything, and then he would let me know if he is going to stay or not.He left me hanging on by a string wondering if he was going to stay or not, then finally tells me that he is going to stay.Tells me that he sent out the wedding invitaions and all. Then a few days later he says he is at work, come to find out he was packing all his stuff and driving back to Colorado.I found out that he applied for a job out there while he was here and I had no idea that we was even thinking of leaving at that time. Then he begged for me back after he left!! Am I wrong for saying NO!?

which is fine for her. My husband (we've been married for 4 years) got me BEAUTIFUL engagement/wedding rings, they are just what I wanted, and he went for quality in my center-stone instead of size, so my center stone is about .63 cts, with a total of 2.63 cts w/ my wedding band. I just love my jewelry, plus it means so much to me because I love being married. ANYWAY, this girl I work with had slighly bigger diamond and it is positioned so it looks really flashy. Anyway, good for her. So, she tells me CONSTANTLY that he ring is SO HUGE and mine isn't and my husband must not love me all that much or he would have made sure I had bigger jewlery. It's REALLY hurt my feelings and made me feel like I should be embarassed about my wedding rings, when I don't want to be! I think they are so pretty and they were a gift from MY husband. How do I respond to this evil woman?

My daughter is filing for divorce and her soon-to-be ex wants to have joint custody. I have had many people that have experienced joint custody say that it is a pain in the butt and delays care for the child because both parents have to have a say. Sometimes the parents do not agree but the care has to wait until they do.?!?

We're told to do our best and work on our marriages to avoid divorce, but what if you have to? When is it not ok and when is it ok? After your divorce, how did you feel? Why did you get divorced? Do you regret it?

If you've seen my previous questions, you know that my mother doesn't want me to leave the state to go to college. She uses guilt trips to manipulate me into never leaving her house. What should I say to each of her arguments? I need tactical assistance, please:

1. "If you move, your grandparents will die. How could you walk out on them when they're old?"
2. "If you move, I will have strokes, seizures and heart attacks every day! I guess you don't care about your own mother."
3. "If you move you'll miss your niece grow up! That is evil! Don't you care about anyone but yourself?"
4. "If you move you will get pregnant! How embarrassing!"
5. "If you move I won't ever help you with anything again! Don't expect anything from me, girl."

Serious question here. I know how I feel about this, I just want others opinions. No religious comments please. I'm aware of all that. This is to help me with a situation close but not me.
Your are in your 30's. Married for 5+. Have house, good jobs, great spouse, no abuse, but you're not happy. Feel there should be something more. 3 healthy kids under 8.
Do you think this "unhappiness" is normal? Do you think you should look for what you think you are missing or do you put your energy into making a home for the kids at this time?
If you're not content, is it worth sacrificing the "family" for that?
The passion has turned to just living together -- do you separate?
Serious answers only please.

I went through a divorce last year. My husband moved out of state. I have sole legal custody and placement of our daughter. He has not visited her ONE time in the last 18 months. He doesnt call much, write, or send gifts. Should he decide to move back closer to us, could he file to receive joint legal custody and placement. I believe this falls under abandonement.

My daughter no longer knows him, and has bonded with other father figures. I am deeply afraid that all the sudden my Ex will decide he no longer wants to pay support and will move back and try to get partial custody just to save a few dollars.

I would like to go on a short holdiay with my husband and not to let anyone know about it. He was previously married and has done alot of travelling and has told me about it.
I just want the two of us to get away and leave family matters at home, leave the mobile phones at home and enjoy ourselves.
We have been to many places since we were first married only a year and half now, most of them he had already been with his ex-wife as well.
What I want to know is it selfish of me not to want to go to the same places he went with his ex-wife,as I am his new wife and and want to see something different that didn't include her as well?
