a nice house & car, I'm responsible. I met a man and we went on one date and now three months later, we went out again last night. And while I've made it more than clear to him I wasn't just interested in a hookup but a relationship. We went to dinner and came back to my house to hang out. Well, after three hours of constantly fending him off, he left. My question is what is it about men and sex? why do they persist even when you pretty much say that's not what I want. I'm getting a little frustrated with the whole dating scene, I can't tell you how many men I've dated and well..it always ends up with them trying to get a piece. I hold fast to what I want....whats wrong???

I was trying to impress a guy but he just ignored me. We used to be together. After he broke up with me, I saw him checking me out again. I tried to talk to him but he ignored me. I am thinking I'm not good enough for him. Then I ask one of my friend for comfort. He said I'm not good enough but good enough. What does that suppose to mean? He also said I'm good enough but not good enough. Any tips on what is that suppose to mean?

In January I decided to quit my job (of 6 yrs- 5 in sales 1 in managment) as Operations Manager to pursue a degree in Education. The responsabilities of the job were a lot and the pay was not that great. I have two young boys (2 and 5) and wanted to be home with them. I enjoyed woring there but was unhappy w/ the pay. After I quit very few people kept in touch. There was one girl who I would talk to which I confided in her my real reasons for quitting the $$$ I gave my boss the excuse of me wanting to be a stay at home mom.( I never told him I was unhappy w/ the pay). This girl called me today to tell me that my position was offered to her and she accepted. I was hurt and sad. why???? I do not understand why. I am now a full time student and happy. Why did her news affect me so much?? Is it that I want the job back or what?

Hi, im a 16 year old girl, im close w. my dad and stuff, but like, he calls me baby.
It sounds kinda weird, ive grown up to him calling me that and i actully kinda like it, it has no sexual meaning to him, im positive.
like when were on the phone and i say ok talk to you later, hes like "ok baby, see you soon" or whatever.
do u think this is weird, or if other people heard this it would sound bad?

I was recently asked this and then after I came up with my answers (God, family, friends) I was asked if anything else was really worth getting all bent out shape about.

*SMACK* right in my forehead. A darn good point though! If people aren't attacking the main things that define us, why in the world are we letting ourselves get all upset and yelling at the lady/man at the drive thru window?

My new rule to try to live by is: If it doesn't really hurt me or the things that are most important to me or those who can't help/defend themselves, then I'm going to do my best to smile and keep on truckin and not let myself give it a second thought.

I know I'm all cheesy sounding. :) That's ok. I'm happy today and I don't care. ;oP

My girlfriend is 4 1/2 months pregnant and she acts like she doesn't want to be held or loved on. I have always longed for touchy feely kind of stuff and she doesn't want it. I have to always have to tell her I love her first and when I tell her, why don't you ever tell me first, she tells me, sorry I don't act the way you want me to act. You're at your friend's house. You get a call from another friend who asks if she can use your computer. You tell your friend that you're not going to be home for a few hours. And then, you tell her to just walk on into your house and use her computer? Without consulting with your mother? Would you really just send your friend to your house when you're not there? My brother has a disability and stole my purse and lied about it and was exposed as he did it. He already has 2 offenses against him and I am reluntant to file charges. I did not want to file on him to prevent hurt to him but I still hurt badly inside that he did this to me being I helps him out so much. Please advise what you would do in a situation like this.

Other than being formally introduced, or meeting at a party, or knowing each other at a work place and lately via internet, there seemed to be very little opportunity for a man and a women to meet and get to know each other. For all one knows, a man and a women walking down the street were really meant for each other but may never get together at all. So the opportunities are somewhat limited.

He does drugs and has people around his house on a constant basis, whether he knows them or not, and he lives with my boyfriend, with plenty of women around I am starting to feel inadequate!! My boyfriend loves me and I got my brother that living arrangement. I just wish he would get his life together! How can I tell him he owes me $300? I've been with this guy for a year. I earned more than him but he's family is more well off than my family. I have obligations with my family and his family does'nt oblige him with anything regards to money. When it comes to his own needs like gadgets and others stuffs he is very much willing to spend. But everytime where going out he always telling that he doesnt have money, So I always end up paying for everything. Also he never gave me anything even on my birthday, anniv and christmas.

the funny thing is, it sounds like i have low self-esteem, but i don't.it's just this man i feel not good enough for..for some reason, i feel like he won't really like me if he got to know me...i don't know if it's out of fear of rejection, hurt, or what that's making me feel this way.
but i feel i am so different from everyone in this place and this man could never love me...

we have been married for a lil over 3 years but we dated for 5 years before we got married, except for 1 year in there we split up b/c i was 15 when we got together and got pregnant 8 months later, things were great for most of the first year.. we have 2 kids now, a boy (6) and a girl(18 mo)..he is always cussing me, and calling me stupid, he comes home fussing b/c he worked all day, he works in a parts store (it cant be that damn hard) we he is always telling me i need to get a job, but i cant and i have told him so many times that i have no car and we aint got the money to get one. and if i did get a job i wil be lucky to make 200 a week and by time a get gas and pay a babysitter i wont be making anything.......he never spends no time with our son...i just signed him up for boyscouts my son was soo excited and my husband kept saying he aint gonna have sshit to do with it....boy scouts is a father son thing...why wouldnt he want to do this with him...........

i agree that some things adults want to post and are valid questions to ask should not be posted since there are young people on Yahoo Answers as well but its not fair to adults who want to post certain questions and cant for fear of a violation of Yahoo Answers. sometimes people have been violated for things that were not too mature. i even received a violation for asking a question asking if you had any secret you need to get off your chest. now how was that a violation? i still havent heard from customer service on that one. anyways, what do you feel about my initial question?

Strangely enough, there are a high number of incidents where couples divorce within a few years after winning the lottery. The Mega Lottery jackpot has now reached $325 million dollars. My wife for the past week or two have been fantasizing about what we would do if we won the jackpot and our views are so different. My wife would want to live an extravagant lifestyle complete with a 15,000 square foot mansion, maids, butlers, etc, etc,. As for me, I would be satisified with a modest 3,000 square foot home in a middle class suburb, a new car or two and helping out our friends, family, church and donating to charities. Although, there is a great chance I won't have to worry about this happening, I have been pondering whether or us winning the lottery would be a blessing or a curse. I am an average working class Joe and I have no desire whatsoever, to live in a mansion or have maids and butlers waiting on me hand and foot. Is your marriage strong enough to withstand the Mega lotto jackpot

i have a friend who ive know for about 6 years went to school with him through high school. although we where never best friends we always where at least secondary friends and for a few months we even hung out together for a while.

two nights ago i went over his house with one of my best friends and him, we where bored so he took out a bottle of wine and we drank it and had a few glasses of some other stuff his parents had around the house.

well today i come home and find out his mother called and told my father i STOLE it, and steeling is something i would never do i was offended and start to feel as if just worth nothing to this kid.

i need to call him and hear his side of the story still but he dident even call me to say he watch out i had to tell my mom you did that or somthing he just left me high and dry.. wi really want to just beat the **** out of him, and believe me i could, but what else could i do to psychologically get back at him
