I'm having a hard time here... Is it me? California? LA? Entertainment business?
It seems every time something doesn't go exactly how they want it to go, they disapear. No discussion, no negociation, no fight... no emotion.
And when I read about relationships in the US, people seem very clinic with answers such as "let it go" as soon as something gets tricky.
Where I come from (Europe) we work on relationships. We get passionate, we fight, we cry, we stalk, we love, we cry again (from joy this time), we laugh and disapear from the rest of the world. Everyone at the office knows something is going on but no-one really complains about because love is about not being in control anymore, and it doesn't happen that often so it's being respected in a way.
Here I find it very cold.
It's like I can't touch the men, they can even be ghosty, and they don't show emotions really. So I have not much to work with... and no-one to really BE with.
Terminator, is it the model to follow?
Or am I scary?

I cant seem to make friends with my mom i try so hard but it never works.We never agree on anything and we fight 24/7.And i make her so mad sometimes she'll slap me or grab my arm real hard and i hit her!It just comes out i cant help it.And sometimes she'll cry and it makes me so sad!

what do you guys think of my girlfriend's response for not calling me or chating much? I find it weird that she doesnt put half of of the responsibilities in a relationship.
here is her response:well i dont know what to say. being in this, will admit that i have been lagging it and have not put as much effort as i know i should. honestly, im just worn out, i mean all ive done is read, casually go on teh internet to check my messages and stuff but that is it. i have not made an effort. i know ur a great guy and obviously will definitely come hard by. i honestly do love u and care about u its just that im being so lazy. i too enjoy ur company but since i havent told my parents, its hard for me to ask them to go out without them getting all suspicious. i care about u and i do want 2 be with u. i was thinking of telling my parents about us 1ce we started hanging out more. i really dont like 2 talk on the phone plus i have called a few times. i dont see us as a fling and ur not one.......

In my second marriage my husband has everything seperate .His mother said when we married to have everything seperate I thought it was just weird at the time.But yes he did and I didnt even know what he made till our taxs were done.It feels strange I put in half and he puts half on home expenses.Feels like a roomate somehow.

Whenever he gets me made i like to hit him and yes he hits me.

Not a perfect Family.

Today (1:07 am)
he went downstairs and made a huge mess.
My mom came home and we got into fight
when she went inside.

He tried to punched him then i nailed him in the back.

He ran to the couch and i said OMG ims o sorry i didnt mean too.
But that was my Anger =[ that made me do that.

Ive hit him badly alot before.

How can i make it up to him?

Hes 10.

I sat next to this girl in my gov/econ class. She would always talk to me a lot. more than her friends in class. she would always want to share food with me in class. sometimes the teacher would give a lecture and she would still talk. the teacher would always tell her to stop talking. she laughed a lot. I wanted to go out with her to prom but was too shy. she said something like you know guys usually ask girls out. then one day I went with her to a school concert. she asked me who my girlfriend was and I kept on telling her nobody! but she would say is it her? she would always say hi to me when she walked through the hallways in school. she would sometimes get hyper when she was around me. she would always say how I was mean. She always tried to show off how smart she was in every class I had her with. yet what bothers me is that she had previous boyfriends(like 5). how do I know if she truly loves me or if this is a game?

My son decided to join the 7 th grade football team this year and he hasn't even completed the week of practice and he's already looking for excuses to quit the team. As a younger child he also tried peewee football, and baseball and quit that too. My husband says he can quit if he likes but I think he's becomming a quiter in everything he tries. I don't want him to grow in life thinking that when the going gets tough he gets going. Am I wrong for wanting him to see things through?

I wish I would make (and keep) more friends.

I think my problem is that I get tired and overwhelmed easily...so that if I'm invited out after work I might consider going but often I'll just feel too tired to make myself go. While I like hanging out with others, it's not relaxing or stimulating but instead "takes a lot out of me." It is VERY hard for me to motivate myself to try new things or to go to new places even though I usually enjoy myself once I go.

How can I get out of this rut and make myself do things/socialize even when I don't feel like it?

I'm a 21 year old lady with mild cerebral palsy.
I have problems with my motor skills and speech.
I'm worried about getting marry because I have those disabilities. I'm still single and never had a boyfriend
But it doesnt mean I'm rushing to have a Love Life.
I''m just thinking about what would be my future by having CP.
I dont wanna be alone for the rest of my life though I have the wonderful family who've love me unconditionally.

I recently found a really great reception site. One of the cheapest places around. However, it's about a 35 min drive from the ceremony site.

I know that 30 mins is not a lot at all. It's very reasonable.

However, the church were the ceremony is taking place is in the town my Fi grew up in. We now live in that town and have become members of this church. My whole family lives about 30 minutes in south of my new town (and new church).

The reception site is 35 min north of our ceremony site.

My Fi's family all live locally to our area. So traveling around for our wedding will not be a burden.

Anyway, my family/friends will have the drive 30 the ceremony site and then after that, another 30 mins to the reception.

When the night is over, they will have to drive an hour back home.

Is that unreasonable? I hope I did not confuse anyone.

This reception site is dream and very inexpensive compared to others we have looked at.

OK, I have 20K budget for my wedding. We are inviting 150 people. I found a great reception site that includes a full-sit down dinner w/ five hour open bar, wedding cake, champagne toast and linens/flower centerpieces. The cost is $87 with tax and gratuity.

With 150x$87 is about 13K.

That only leaves 7K left for the remaining flowers, the church donation (no flowers at the church) the pictures, video, favors (no more then $2 a per or $300) my dress, attendant gifts, etc.

Is it possibe to do afford all the rest for 7K.

If not, I'm willing to cut the guest list to about 120-130.

What do you think? Can I afford all that for 7K or should I cut my list?

20K is are finally budget to. We will not go over a by a penny, that's what we can comfortably afford. So, we don't plan on anything else.

I'm not really sure if this was worth a fight, but I felt like my husband "crossed the line" with one of his young, female co-workers. A few times a week they eat lunch together. On his days off she'll text him with messages like, "we miss you here!"
Now, he's trying to help her quit smoking by taking away her cigarettes and hiding them in his car for her. The other day he had a work function we attended and when we saw each other she was somewhat snotty.
I talked/(yelled) to him for all of this because I've had it! He thinks I'm acting like a jealous wife and I'm losing it, but quite frankly I'm very upset that he caters to her every whim.
Should I be upset? Is he crossing the line? What's going on?
