I don't think its a sign of weakness. In fact it takes a lot for a man to express that he is having troubles crying. Everybody feels the pain the same, men and women are no different.
Men have been taught that BIG Boys don't cry...

I think at some time in your life you have had some sort of emotional shut down.

My husband has a hard time crying. But when he does I know he does it in private. Although I have seen him cry many times... At funerals etc......

I have recently replied to a question here where a woman wasn't able to cry.

A few days ago a grandmother wrote about her 7 year old granddaughter whom had lost her mother to death and her father went to prison, she is living with her grandmother at the age of 7 and cant cry.

You need to figure out what it is that blocked your emotion.

Was you told it was wrong for guys to cry? Did anger take the place of your sadness?

These are some things you might think about. The more you try to make yourself cry. It wont happen..
Tears will fall when you resolve the hidden issues you have inside of you.

Because it's socially unacceptable for males to cry, you probably subconsciously and/or consciously realized this by the time you were 13-14 or whatever. I am the same way (and also 20 now as well).

It's not wrong to cry, but I think guys need a better reason to cry than a girl (I don't mean that as a sexist comment or something). I just mean that the guy is supposed to be the calm and collected person. But if something extremely sad happens then I think it would be acceptable.

I know what you mean lol I was playing a really sad part of a role playing game (don't remember what it was off hand) and tried to force myself to cry and all I got was like three or four drops lol
