I was recently asked this and then after I came up with my answers (God, family, friends) I was asked if anything else was really worth getting all bent out shape about.

*SMACK* right in my forehead. A darn good point though! If people aren't attacking the main things that define us, why in the world are we letting ourselves get all upset and yelling at the lady/man at the drive thru window?

My new rule to try to live by is: If it doesn't really hurt me or the things that are most important to me or those who can't help/defend themselves, then I'm going to do my best to smile and keep on truckin and not let myself give it a second thought.

I know I'm all cheesy sounding. :) That's ok. I'm happy today and I don't care. ;oP

My God is for eternity. My family is second only to my God. After that, this old gal picks my battles pretty carefully. I break it down roughly like this: "Will this matter next year?," then slow down. "Will this matter next week?," I can handle most anything for a week. "Is this going to affect my family for a long period of time?", Hold your horses, now I have to pray for some real wisdom. One day has ceased to give me much worry, one way or the other, unless something life-changing happens to my peeps.

Doesn't sound cheesy to me, sounds like a good ideal to live life by. And on those occasions you fall short, try to brush yourself off and go at it again. Keep at it... it takes effort. Simple, but not easy.
