An immediate family member is getting married and wants me to be a bridesmaid. I'm happy for her and want to be there, but the wedding involves a trip to an expensive resort and we just cannot afford the expense. Our family income cannot afford luxuries like outside trips. While I realize it's her dream day and it's important to her, how do I get her to understand this???

I work a lot of hours at my job and I just can't afford to pay $800 to $1000 for a trip. We can't afford a loan, don't have space on a credit card, and she's ticked off that I told her no. If we go, it means that we can't pay for our house payment, and my boss has already told me that I can't take the time off from work. I've just gotten a full time job and we're trying to catch up on bills. The wedding is in 3 weeks, and this wedding was planned at the last minute.

As a bride, how do you recommend that I get her to understand? I love her, but I just can't afford to go.

im 5 1/2 months pregnant, in the 1st trimester we had sex on a regualar basis, we also have two other children in the home that we focus on a lot through out the day and weekends so i know we are both exhuasted, but in the past this never stopped us from being intimate we were always into each other and spontaneous. i never nag my b/f i think it's pointless, but i did recently mention the fact that i dont have a sexlife anymore. so now he rubs on me and then to find him asleep 5 minutes later. there are other issues i noticed that have changed, im wondering if it's b/c im pregnant and he's turned off? or is he getting satisfied elsewhere and just dont want to hurt my feelings cause im knocked up..... HELP!!

My boyfriend is starting to be best mates wit my best mate, im not sure if it'll turn into more, he's more confortable with her, and he can talk to her more than he can with me, and generally really like eachother!
I was told to maybe do stuff to make me seem a bit more exciting and make him wanna be with me more...! How can i do this? Im going to the beach with him my best mate and a few others this weekend? His mom seems to have issues after we moved to FL. It seems she's
upset that she doesn't have as much influence over him. she and his sister were use to guilt trippn him and running all over him. Now, he has his own life, in school, working, band, family. They seem to have issues. I'm not sure if I should try and extend an olive branch or just be happy they don't live anywhere close to us. They didn't help w/ the wedding, now, they'll send things adressed only to him. However, my family always includes him, sends him cards, gifts, takes him out to dinner when in town. His mom paid for all of his family but not me or my daughter. I felt it was a true slap in the face. I'm just wondering will it stay this way or will they come around.

my previous question was exactly what the question states.. now for part 2, ok well first of all i am a school girl i am 17 years old the guy in question is 18 and in the grade above me.. he always use to stare at me (and still does) and today he said hi and said that his friend wanted a chip (that i was eating) then his other friend said i must ignore him and that i can carry on walking.. he spoke to me so that means something right? how can i get him to talk to me again??

She and I were close in 9th or 10th grade, then werent so close later on. we graduated, then she went off to the military, I went to college. We have exchanged a handful of e-mails over the past 8 years, but nothing more than that. On one hand I have to wonder if, due to her multiple international deployments, she doesnt have many friends to invite or who could make it. I'm probably the only one from high school that she still knows, which may be why she's inviting me, so I feel bad. On the other hand, the truth is we are not really friends now, I don't really know her now, I am not loaded with $$ for a gift, I wont know anyone there and it's kinda pointless to go. im stuck!

My wife and I have been together for going on 2 years now and I work alot while she is a stay at home mom for our two kids. My question is with me working so much sometimes i forget to mention to her how good she looks or how the house looks when I come home. This really upsets her to the point we fight about it. Things started off great with my girlfriend of 2 yrs, now fiancee with a normal amount of romance for the beginning of a relationship. She is my best freind and I love her, but a few months into the relationship she became less and less interested in sex. We have only done it once or twice in the last year and it's driving me nuts. We have talked about it and she tells me she still loves me but no longer has a sex-drive. She has agreed to go to a therapist with me, but I am affraid this pattern will continue. Long story short. This man is an alcholic, drug addict and all around unkind person. He is responsible for the death of a family member and I haven't spoken with him in over a year. Having him there would be upsetting to everyone.

I'm very close with my Stepfather (who has been there since I was 2wks old and has raised me as his own) so he is taking on all the FOB responsibilities.

My question is how to handle questions about his absence. Only family and very close friends know the backstory & I look so much like my step-dad everyone thinks he is my real dad anyways. Its the dates of friends, acquaintances, etc that are going to ask. What happened isn't anyones business, but I'm trying to be prepared with a simple answer such as he couldn't make it. Anyone who has had a similar situation please help?

My partner and I were having a few drinks last night, our neighbour popped in and started drinking with us. All was good, the kiddies were playing and the night was great until the neighbour tried to hit on me...I told my guy straight away so he confronted the neighbour...he (of course) denied it and called his wife out to hear my (outrageous) accusation. She said he's never done this before....earlier on in the evening he made some rude comment about a woman passing by...he was also touching my arm alot and trying to sing a love song to me...ugh! This morning I am soo embarrassed by the whole episode....now I want to hide but, we all live in the same building....I even help his wife with their newborn son....how can I get over the whole embarrassing event and why do I feel so awful for it? He should be the one in hiding, not me.

Have any other women (or men) ever had this happen and how did you deal with it? It's very uncomfortable for me. I want to move but we can't.

he has been calling and talking to phone sex operators. Everytime I catch him we fight about it and he promises he won't do it again. Last time it happened I packed up my things to leave, he got upset and told me it wouldn't happen again. I swore to him if he did it again I would leave for good, no maybe about it. Yesterday I found out that while I was at the doctor last week and he was home with our kids he called again. Last night I told him that we were getting a divorce and he said no. He refuses to talk about the situation. He swears that it has nothing to do with me. I ask him if he isn't attracted to me and he says thats not true. I am devestated by this and I don't know whether I am over-reacting and should just let it go or whether I should take it serious. Please be respectful in your responses, this problem has put me into a state of depression and I am tired of letting it ruin my life. Please help. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I dated my 6 year crush after he was seperated. There was hope that he would follow through with a divorce. He informed that he was now going back to his wife. He is 8 years younger than me. So i dont know if this was a factor however he did tell me that he could see that I was awesome person and didnt want to hurt me on purpose. I am sorry to say that our engagement has been broken. We have established that we are just not compatible, and it's best to move on.

I told her I would like the ring back and she complied. It is pretty expensive, appraised at $4500 and I paid a little over $2000 for it.

Where is a place I can get the most money for it? I think a pawn shop would rip me off pretty good, I have no idea where to sell expensive jewelry.
