If it is a true friend. It does not matter what you write. Anything you write in the year book will be great.
Maybe you can write about something really fun the two of you did and mention how you felt about that adventure.
Are you going to stay in touch with this friend? If so write something about being so happy having her as a friend and can't wait for further life adventures with her.
If you were my friend - I would be so happy that you wrote in my Year book. Not all friends do that.
Like I stated above. Anything you write will be perfect. I can tell you are a Great friend since you are worried about what to write and are not sure if it will be good enough - Don't worry it will be!!!

If you're not planning on seeing each other again, I'd say something nice and wish them luck in the future. If you are going to see her again next year, tell her/him to have a great summer and you'll be looking forward to next year.
Year books are really not for profound statements. Very few people keep them forever and then only look at them occasionally. Chances are in ten years the person won't even remember who wrote what.

It doesn't matter as it will never be read but once and then forgotten. Yearbooks are one of those "nice at the moment" things in life, that are completely meaningless later. They are so called "movie moments", as they are not important in real life.
Write something sappy, that always goes over well.

It's been a great year having you as a friend...I hope to see over the summer for some great times before we're off to college next year (if you're not going to college next year, then say, before highschool picks back-up in the fall)..Enjoy your summer. MUAH and then add your name

Write a "Remember When..." and wish them the best of luck. That way they can look at it in the future, laugh, and remember what a good friend you are/were.

~ "The child is an almost universal symbol for the soul's transformation. The child is whole, not yet divided...when we heal the mind...we ask this child to speak to us.
