why would they ask my 13 yr old daughter this in school.can some1 give an example of why i would use this sum

coefficient of x means constant with x
x = 1x
then coefficent of x is 1

the number that comes before x. Like if you had 2x, 2 would be the coefficient of x.

It can be anything you want it to be as far as I am concerned.

I did not know there was a worldwide standard for the coefficient of x.

Couldnt find one on e bay either.
Does one exist?
