Can someone confirm for me that this is messed up reasoning. Ok, so I've decided to turn over a new leaf in my life and be more social etc. (If you see my other q's, you'll see where I'm kinda at in life.)

But um, I'm kinda hesitant to meet up with people or go to events etc. because I feel like I'm not currently very charming or anything like that, plus I'm not in shape etc. So it's a bit of a catch-22 where I'm like, I can't learn to be social until I *am* social, and I'm hesitant to be so until I've lost weight. Which seems like a bit of a vicous circle to me. It's a bit illogical but um, yeah, just confirming that it is a stupid way to decide whether to go out or not.

Since then she has been making false and salacious allegations to the police. Her sister recently attacked me, leaving deep marks on my neck and bruising to my arms and head. Brief story, met a guy around 5 months ago, we gelled right from the start we were like best friends as well as seeing each other. We bonded very very well especially on a intellectual levels we would be up all night talking for hours. But discovered this guy is a classic commitment phobic that finds a relationship a severe threat to his freedom and says that he just isnt ready to settle down yet for his own personal reasons he works long hours during the week and never even really has the chance to see his daughter. I of course wanted a relationship and he suggested that we take a step back and remain only friends (without sex) as he couldnt give me a relationship or any commitments at this present time. He said he feels that I am a very articulate, intellegent, good looking girl with a heart of gold, but just isnt looking for a relationsip at this stage. So we have only remained close friends for the past couple of months -sex has not been involved. Is it ok to keep my options open?

I broke up with my now ex today. He is a really good man and I really care for him. It was incredibly painful. I still have deep feelings for another man and i know that i will be able to love again i just didnt feel that i could ever love him (my now ex)enough in that way to make me or him happy. He was a very good man though the type you dont come across very often. Is it normal to feel unsure and remorseful of a decison like this.

My ex boyfriend (went out with for 2.5 years, split up 9 months ago) recently decided that he liked one of my friends who I was supposed to be sharing a house with in about a months time.
The two of them are now having some kind of relationship with each other which has affected the friendships between us all.
Its not so much that I mind that he has a girlfriend as I have no interest in him at all in that way but I am still really annoyed about the whole thing. He told me that he would be upset if I were to start dating any of our friends and yet he goes and does it himself!
I'm not sure how to stop feeling so annoyed or even exactly why I feel like that at all!

I always enjoyed the company of women and always when I walk up to a girl and talk to her they think I am flirting. Why can I have casual conversation with men but not with women?

Reason I ask now is: I am good friends with one of my girlfriend friends and this is causing tension in our relationship because 'i must have subconscious feelings etc...' I do care about this friendship and I don't want to end it because of irrational behavior.

Women please, why do you always think our attraction to you is always physical?

I am just confused about this same sex marriage because I can not find any reason why is it necessary if no children can be born.

I just think it is some biological lack of something, because even chickens have never done this.

My 18 yr old is graduating high school in 3 weeks. She has been treating me extremely bad and shows zero respect. She refuses to help out around the house including cleaning up her own messes. Would you kick her out as soon as she graduates even though you know she is not mature enough to handle being on her own??? or would you just put up with the abuse and disrespect because you love her and do not want anything bad to happen to her? I have already put my 16 yr old in a reform school for basically the same problems. She comes home on weekends and acts just terrible. Before you JUDGE me, I am a good parent...not perfect but I try. I love my children very much.....I spend a lot of time with them...I give them everything they need. I have taken away, cell phones, cable tv in their rooms, taken away internet and computer. When they yell and cuss at me, I walk away and go to my room and close the door. I don't yell back. This is making me physically and emotionally ill.

she asked me down to help her on a computer game she downloaded. its a puzzle game and as she knows i play video games, i could help. even tho i was fed up with her asking me to help her on games i have never played i tried to helps anyways. after i helped, she said " is that the best you can do? in a kinda sarcastic disappointed tone.

Now it makes me break and shout when she always asks me to help on her games. Sure i play video games, but their xbox 360 games and First Person Shooters like Rainbow six vegas and halo. so i kinda shouted at her, spoke my mind and then she really shouts at me calls me a cow and then tries to put guilt on me saying i do alot for you.

She had a tone, she shouted i Tried to help but she just expects that i can help her or i know what do it just cause i play games. WTF.

Whos in he wrong here? Me or her?

He’s known her for a while but has never been more than friends with her. Because he’s a great guy he attracts a lot of people to him, including female friends, but there’s one girl in particular who has recently been expressing interest in being with him. I have spoken with him about her & only recently did he realize just how interested she is in him. Since then he has made sure to have her see us together & hasn’t encouraged her feelings to my knowledge. But she continues to try & make her presence known to him. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to deal with this situation. I’ve talked with him about it already but I feel if I continue mentioning it to him it will really start to seem desperate. I trust him but I do not trust her. I have only met her briefly once & have no real desire to speak with her in the future. What can I do to get her to back off? How can I come across as confident & secure when it’s really bugging me? I want to be able to stop worrying about this.

He says it's because he's lazy and he seems satisfied with that answer. I know he could do better and he even admits he could do better, but he seems perfectly okay with D's and F's. We have given him consequenses, like no phone privilages for the weekend, etc. but he just looks us in the eye and says, "Okay". I don't know how to explain to him that life in our house is much easier than life in the real world and the consequences for not making any effort get much much worse
