I have nothing against same sex partnership. If they love each other that is very beautiful and all but to involve children into this is self centered and absurbed! The child has no say in this. If I had a choice I would want both a mother and a father. Now if you ask a child that did have a mother or father of the same sex they would probably reply that they had a normal childhood but they don't know any difference! It is not a normal childhood because normal would be defined as a household with both a mother and a father. I know that gays and lesbians are capable of giving love but please think of the children first. They deserve a normal life and and having two dads or two mothers is NOT normal. If the whole world thought like that then the human race would no longer exsist.

Part of being human is that we function at a higher level than most animals - a level that is influenced by reason, logic, and emotions rather than just instinct. Because we use reason and emotions, we are able to choose partners based on things other than the simple biological drive to procreate. But just because they have chosen a partner for reasons other than procreation, doesn't mean they don't want to experience the joy of raising a child. Whether they choose to actually make a child the biological way (with the help of surrogates or donors) or adopt, they have just as much right as a heterosexual couple to have a child.
And by the way, since when did heterosexual couples ever NEED children?

They don't need children and in my view, because of that, they have no need to be "married".
I don't know about the need of children, but my personal feeling is that I don't think its fair on the kids if they do.
Like religion, you never pump your beliefs into youngsters, you give them the opportunity to choose for them selves. So by same sex couples bringing up children will inadvertantly biased them to a non "normal" life.
I am not a bigot, it's just the way I feel.

Just because you're sexually attracted to the same gender doesn't mean you don't want children of your own. It just means you're not attracted to the gender that can help you with that one.
Also, there are more reasons for marriage than to make little replicas of yourself. There are many childless "traditional" marriages, and there are those who are intentionally childless.
If having children were the only reason for marriage, then you'd have children, raise them and get divorced.

One of many downsides to a gay relationship and only a few states recognize a gay marriage but there also not allowed to adopt either. They just have to deal with a childless life.

People can have a perfect relationship with out kids. Kids can put strains on relationships so I guess they have happy healthier relationships.

Yes.
Needs for children are very strong, & has nothing to do with same sex couples.
Adoption is the normal alternative available to them.
