a former good mate of mine cheeked me once two often when i was going through a rough patch, as i said hes a former friend. a drowning man has no reason to have dead wood clinging to his legs. im glad i got rid. another good mate turned his back on me when i asked for a serious favour. anyway sod them both. sometimes you have to plod the turf with only your own shadow for company.

I think you can miss the friendship, but not necessarily the friend.

I had a girl friend who had some issues, but I managed to deal with them for several years. We did lots together, and it was a good friendship. Then she went over the top one too many times, and I realized it was just too toxic for me to deal with. End of friendship. I missed what we HAD, but not what it had become or the person she had become.

You get over after awhile.

This is just my opinion, but I had a friend who moved away, and we kept in contact and then she got involved with her new life where she moved to and I kept calling her and leaving her messages and e-mails, and she would not answer them at all!

So, I finally got the "hint" and let it go, it was hard, and I felt like I lost my best friend, but we live in different states now,and she has her new life and her husband and her son, and I have my life and my husband and my daughter, and I just keep busy and focus on the most important people in my life right now.

That is my husband, my daughter and my family and friends around me and I keep busy!!

There is always that sense of "loss" but when you focus on other people in your life and keep busy with other things, you will be fine!

Why would you want to brake the friendship - why don't you just do your own things for a while - of course you would miss the chum - one day something will happen and you will want to tell said chum - so remain chums and just put a bit of distance between you.

you would be stupid to permit this bypass. in case you're a real pal, you could understand his determination. i know it hurts, yet he did no longer do it intentionally. Love him as a pal - you ought to have an remarkable pal for all times. you're no longer the rebound lady; you're a pal he believes he can believe. If he did no longer believe you, he could have mentioned as one in each of his male friends rather. you're so clever to have not finished something with him. i certainly understand you for that.

Makes me smile in public and weep in solitude with a pillow on my face.

i still miss them, but if u r breakin up w/them, they oviously did somthing 2 hurt you, so ur just giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Breaking up with your friend?

I have never broke up with friends, lost contact maybe but breaking up with friends seems bizarre.
