severe behavioral problems since I had my new baby, which is 6 months old now. I'm not sure what to do. He was the only grandchild until I had my other baby. I'm a single mother. He hits me, my friends and family. I'm at my wits end. I don't know what else to do. I've tried taking things away from him, I've spanked him. I've put him in the corner. It seems as if nothing works. I'm starting to think he may even have A.D.D. I don't know what else to do. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!!

My son is 3 1/2 & very smart. He is also very defiant & 'spits' at people when they say something he doesnt like.he cant really spit so he tries & makes a BBBBZZZZ sound that is irrelevant, its his intention. He also just stomps his foot & says NO..I AM NOT DOING THAT! &folds his arms across his chest he tells us he hates or or slams the door in your face.I don't spank him unless he does something dangerous lI don't want to spank him or I'd be doing it 20 times some days ! I don't know if time outs really work, he says he is sorry when he comes out but I am not really sure that he even understands why he is in there. I know he doesnt sit & think about what he did wrong because all he does is cry for daddy while hes in there hoping my husband will let him out. What do you do with a kid like this? He is a sweet kid, he is very nice with other kids & plays nice doesnt hit or call names and tries to share. He tells you he loves you and LOVES hugs and kisses. He is just very strong willed!

He still has an "animals/jungle theme" that he has had since he was a baby. Its not too "babyish" but I still think its time for something else. He likes sports "ok" but not crazy about it. He likes cars/trucks/planes etc.. but I want something that will last for several years. any ideas?

I have a 5 year old. For her happiness as well as mine, I hire a sitter when attending events that I don't deem to be child-friendly. I also don't frequent adult places when hanging out with her. It's unfair to her to expect a child of this age to sit through a lecture on modern art or sit for hours at a coffee house.

I moved to a new town and parents here seem to not to understand this. I go for date night at a nice sushi place and parents are screaming as their kids refuse to pipe down. I go to a coffee house with work and next to the college students are women with screaming infants and toddlers. I went to the grocery store this morning. A child of about four started throwing a terrible temper tantrum and the mother started swearing at him in the middle of the store. My daughter was in the cart and I simply did not know how to respond to this. What is the right way to deal with these rude parents? I've joked that I should just stop wasting money on sitters, but...

My son is 21 months old. His behaviour at home is generally good, but when we are at the grandparents or out to eat he becomes demanding and uncooperative. He follows grandma around screaming all the time but nothing she does seems to make him happy. One little 'NO!' from me (Momma) and he cries and freaks out. At dinner he points at the table like he wants something but nothing we give him makes him happy. He gets mad and throws his drink on the floor. It gets to the point that Daddy has to take him outside. I am consistent with my discipline and always follow through. This works at home, but not anywhere else.

PLEASE HELP!

I babysit a 7 year old boy and I caught him and my 5 year old daughter in her room with their pants down. He had an erection and was trying to make my daughter suck it. It seems to me this boy has had something happen to him. What should I do and what do I tell my daughter?

I babysit a 2 1/2, 5 yr old and a 14 month, and have a 9 month old of my own. I don't feel comfortable taking all 4 children outside by myself. So I am looking for some good exercise activities that they can both do. I live in a side by side duplex and it seems like we can hear everything the neighbors do so I am sure they can hear us so I don't want things like jumping jacks that is going make them jump up and down and shake the whole house. Thank you

I have 3 kids. A five year old, a three year old, and an 18 month old. I have expressed to my husband that I am not comfortable with them being on a 4 wheeler. Yet, when we have gone over to his brother's house, I look out the window and see them riding in one. They are not going super fast, so I'm not worried that way. And, if they were riding with his brother, I'd feel better. But the fact is, they ride around with their kids (their kids are 13 and 15). I don't feel this is safe. What is your reaction?

My 2 year old son still uses a pacifier for his naps and bedtime. He will not fall asleep with out it unless he's in a car, no matter how tired he is. He will just lay there and cry until you give him his "Paci" then he's out within seconds. So far its not bothering his teeth but I would like for him to be off of it before it does. That and his daddy continues to give me hell over it. It breaks my heart to hear him cry like that. He just turned 2 so its not like I can really reason with him just yet. Any auggestions??

My husband's really angry that they did this. I, on the other hand, do not think it's a bad idea if they do it. What harm would it cause? I think it would be okay since he has hit his head a few times there. As long as they are taking care of him, I feel better that he won't hit his head and end up in the hospital. My husband would leave me if my parents ever put a helmet on him. Help me.....

So no escape from the bugs, and there is not much shade in our yard to stay out of the sun. Any help with some products would be great.

I have a six year old brother. He is so fuc*king annoying! He walks around the house naked all the time! When we come home from school, he walks in the door. Throws his backpack wherever. Throws his shoes at the wall. Throws his clothes off, and by two minutes he's home he's fully naked! Here walks around the house naked for the rest of the day, he rides his bike in the backyard naked, he sits on our couch and watches TV naked. He gets up on the counter in the kitchen to get food and puts his nasty as*s on the counter. Then I have to put my food on the same counter he put his butt on!

Is this normal for a six year old to still be walking around naked an d not care if anyone sees him naked? My mom just says: "Oh this is just a normal phase for kids this age.".

My son will be 4 in July. He is well mannered and says his please's and thank you's and all that... but what gets to me is the lack of listening. He is constantly throwing stuff at my hubby or myself and saying very hatefully "take that!" I guess he must have got it from nursery school as we have never said that to him. So we tell him not to do this and put him on the naughty step for 4 minutes. We dont' talk to him while he is on the step and then he has to apologize when time is over. The problem is ... he goes right back to doing it. He can sit on the step all day for all he cares. As long as he can throw something at us. Or he will come and jump on your foot, or bit you in the behind, or head butt your back while you're walking. He laughs when he does these things. But time out's don't phase him, spanking doesn't phase him, taking toys away does nothing. I have tried ignoring bad behavior and praising and rewarding good behavior but he'll just revert back. I am in tears
