I babysit a 2 1/2, 5 yr old and a 14 month, and have a 9 month old of my own. I don't feel comfortable taking all 4 children outside by myself. So I am looking for some good exercise activities that they can both do. I live in a side by side duplex and it seems like we can hear everything the neighbors do so I am sure they can hear us so I don't want things like jumping jacks that is going make them jump up and down and shake the whole house. Thank you

my kids play hide and seek, do freeze tag, chase each other in circles, we have mats out so they can tumble (both were in gymnastics till i was put on bed rest), Lots of stretching exercises, cleaning is great too, Simon says, red light green light down the hallway, just put music on to dance too.

I liked to do crafts with things the kids had around the house. We would take paper plates, cut holes, then use markers to make all sorts of masks. We'd punch holes around the top edge and tie on twine or garbage twisty ties for hair. Then we'd put a string on it so we could wear them. I'd bring brown paper bags from the grocery store and we'd make costumes, like cowboy vets, robots, etc. We would come up with a play that would utilize some of the costumes and give a performance of it when the parents came home. It was fun! Here are other ideas: -Scavenger hunt at a park with items like a leaf, a round rock, a stick, etc. Bring a plastic bag to collect the items and something little as a prize for completing the list (you can bring something from their house, like a fruit roll up) -Playing at the park. They will be way easier to handle if they get their energy out. -Water fun: if they have a wading pool, fill it up and add some plastics bowls, measuring cups, a funnel, and other things they can use in the water. -Dance time: I had a CD from my favorite movie, Strictly Ballroom, that has a lot of great music to dance to. We'd put on the music nice and loud and dance around. The kids I watched loved the latin music the most. I hope you have a great time!

I was an anti-tv nut, then discovered the Wiggles. My kids 2 & 3, both boys, dance and dance to them. Also anything involving keeping a balloon in the air is good - just watch the mouths. Mine also like to do obstacle courses, and build forts with blankets and chairs.

Also any kids games like Simon Says, Freeze Dance, Ring around the Rosy are good.
