My daughter is 4 half and she has this thing..where i guess shes masterbating sorta. She rubs herself across the carpet til she "gets off" or something ..it reallybothers me and my doctor said to tell her to go to her room but dont make a big deal about it because itll give her a complex. Well she does this all the time 5 or 6 times a day sometimes more. She came down stairs with my viberator in her pants not in her underwear just her pants. I took it away and put it up. It freaks me out!! I dont know why or how she knows to do what she does... Why does she keep doing that?!! should i make her go back to the doctor?! is this normal?!

My daughter is 15 months and we have to switch to milk. My husbands family has problems with milk and instead of taking that chance with my daughter right away, im giving her soy milk. Is there anything she isnt getting with soy that she would get with regular milk? Thanks

My 2 1/2 year old has been vomiting on and off for almost a week. He has had a loss of appetite and hasn't had but 1 or 2 hard stools. He says his stomach hurts, and then usually vomits. He has been more tired than usual. What could this be and do I need to go to the doctor? I don't have much money and don't have insurance.

How did he/she adjust?
Our daughter is 27 months. It worries me to think of her being able to just get out of her bed anytime she wants (especially in the middle of the night).

I am potty training a three year old girl. She is excited about going in the potty, but we haven't hit the timing just right yet. When I take her in to sit on the potty, how long should I make her sit there waiting to go when nothing is happening?

Hello. I have a 3 year old daughter who is still not potty trained. I keep hearing everyone say either "why isnt she potty trained" or "she'll come around". Well I am 11 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and I dont want both of them in diapers. Any advice on how to get her to want to use it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

My daughter just turned 2, and she can already dress herself. She goes into her room, and comes out with different clothes on! The little stinker, lol. I didnt think kids learned to do that until a later age???

I have a three year little girl that is an extremely picky eater. There are only about ten things that she will eat. No fruits, no veggies. I know this is not just a "phase" because she has been this way for almost 2 years. Is there anyway to get her to try new foods without forcing her to eat it?

My son (almost 3) is pretty much fully potty trained for daytime while he is awake. I put a diaper/pull-up on him for his naps and for nighttime. His diaper/pull-up are always fully soaked when he wakes up so he pees a lot while sleeping.

I think that it will just take time for his bladder to be able to hold it and that eventually he'll just learn on his own to stay dry during naps. My friend insists that I should wake him up from his naps as well as several times in the middle of the night to force him to pee.

So will he just learn on his own or do I need to continue "training" him during naps and nighttime?

thanks so much for your advice.

I have a neighbor across the street who calls on me at all hours to take care of her 4 year old. Both of my children are grown and I'm at home most days. She knows that and takes advantage of it.
I suppose if she conpensated me for my time and pay me something I wouldn't be quite so resentful. There's a lot of things myself that I'm not able to get done because I'm babysitting.
I love the little boy. He's special needs and is a very loving child but he can be a real handful too.
My question is how should I handle this. I think it would really hurt the friendship if I told her I wouldn't be able to watch her child unless she paid me for babysitting services. Thanks for any advice you could offer.

My three-year-old loves the temporary tattoos, and currently has about five of them on various parts of his body, which doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that he's had several baths since getting them, and the stupid things aren't coming off. I'm afraid his preschool teacher is going to think I'm not bathing the kid.

I had no idea these things would be so hard to remove.

my son is 4 yrs old hes in pre-k and im always hesitant to take him out to places where theres lots of kids. last time we went he had a meltdown because my little girl didnt want to go where he wanted her too. He got angry and had a meltdown in front of everybody(it doesnt embararess me) he tried pulling her his way and i kept telling him to calm down while holding my little girl cause she was crying too and then he wanted to hit anybody close by. i worry because hes very strong and could hurt someone. i know the whole explaining thing to the parents but i dont want it to get to that point. we live in a townhome. and we go to grandmas house to play outside. i wondering am i being too restrictive ? (by the way momma was asleep during this incident. she works nights.)

I am 23 and my fiance is 26 we have a 3 year old daughter and finding child care isnt always easy. We own our own business and have a very hecktic, unpredictable life so sometimes we dont know when we will be able to relax next. We try to go on dates to dinner or the movies and sometimes we are successful but usually the short notice makes it hard to line up child care. In this case, can you guys help me think of some things we could do with our daughter that would still be getting out, away from the business and houshold chores? Another problem is with a 3 year old you cant go out too late and sometimes our only oppertunity all week is a week night evening....I would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks soooo much guys!

My 31/2 yr old daughter started out well with potty training. We started her at about 30mos. old. She would receive stickers with every sucessful usage. She was happy...we were happy. Then, all of a sudden, she demanded to wear a diaper all the time. If I tried to put panties on her she would cry and cry and throw a tantrum demanding that she wear a diaper. Now, if one of her friends comes over, who uses the potty, she will take off her diaper and use the potty (sometimes the big toilet!) But after they leave she wants a diaper. She has never had an accident & she can use the big toilet. No problems pulling pants up and down. She knows what to do...she just doesn't want to. Has anyone had this problem or have any idea how to get her to give up her diaper. We have tried rewards. We have brought her "pretty panties". We have used the "big girl" speech. She doen't care about any of this. She has an 18mo. old little sister. could this be a problem? Maybe she wants to stay the baby.

he's four, he's my step son, and he was kicking and hitting my ten month old. I've tolerated him trying to kill his older brothers at least they can defend themselves. But who at any age is sadistic enough to attack a baby? I realize he is jealous of the baby, I realize he needs couseling, tried it, it's obviously not working. They won't medicate him til he's five. WHAT DO I DO? If you want more description on him read my other questions? I told him we wouldn't abandon him, I can't send him to his mother. She will just beat him again. The bi&^% even locked him in dark closets. I don't know what to do for him. Is there a way to have him committed for a while for everybodies safety? Where can I send him? I can't allow him to hurt my baby. I can't. And yes he was supervised we were all in the room with him he doesn't care. He doesn't care about anything, I've never met such a sad twisted indiviual in all my life and he's only four. And since everybody is gonna say get him therapy HE IS.
