We already have several strollers but there's this new jogger and I LOVE it. She is just one year old now. I have to convince hubby lol.
How long is this one going to last? Weight restriction is 70lbs.
Give me some good reasons, please..

Thank you.

I want to teach my 2 1/2 year old a new subject every week and also include a craft with the lesson. Can anyone suggest some books that have different learning subjects that will be easy for him to understand? Thanks!

My son is a year old now and I know at a year old you are supposed to switch to whole vitamin D milk. I was just wondering how is tummy will take the change of milk. Any moms out there have any input on how their little ones handled whole milk the first time they gave it to them? What should I expect if anything but for him to drink it?

My daughter used to eat everything! Pickles, sauerkraut..etc... Now she won't touch anything besides fries and ketchup. I offer her all kinds of veggies, fruits..etc. But still all she wants is fries. Which is fine on occasion, but not everyday! Anyone have any ideas on things I could buy or make that are nutritious and tasty?

My 3 and 1/2 year old isn't wanting to sleep anymore. She is extreemly tired when she doesn't take a nap in the afternoons, but she never wants to lay down and sleep anymore. She used to do just fine and now out of the blue she has decided that she will not take a nap. Nothing has changed in her daily life....also at night when we put her to bed she gets up about every 15 to 20 min and asks if she can go to the potty....I let her go because I don't want her to wet the bed....But last night was the worst...we played her game for 3 hours until finally we told her no.....and then she wet the bed about 3 hours after that....and then about 2 hours later she came running into the bedroom (it's like 3 in the morning) and said good morning mom and dad, can I have hugs and kisses...I was SOOO tired and mad because I don't understand why she is doing this and I don't know how to stop it...I hate spanking her and try to leave that for extreem situations...Someone please give me some advice!!

I'm talking about things such as how I should tell the kids that they shouldn't run around the restaurant because we are carrying heavy trays with hot food. That they shouldn't play with the condiments because I have to clean it up later. Etc.

I can talk to older children, but I do not have any kids of my own and I am not good with toddlers and younger kids. (Mainly because I like to be rational and kids just don't understand that yet!!!)

Any suggestions???

Yeah, I'm talking about when the parents blatantly ignore their children and somehow act like it's my job to be a babysitter.

she has a VERY bad case of morning breath. Our doctor said we do not need to start brushing her teeth yet because she is too young. I think that is crap but what should I do? How do you brush a 16 months old teeth, especially if she won't let me??

My 5yr old will be on holiday next week and I desperately need some ideas on entertaining her and my 18mth old son together. Because of their age difference my daughter cannot always do what she wants to do (eg: painting) as her bro constantly interrupts her and messes her work. This gets her very annoyed and we land up having to pack away which leads to tantrums and tears. I am home alone with the kids and we do not have transport to get to play centres/parks. It's too cold to let them play outside so we're stuck indoors! HELP!!!

Is it too early to start potty training? I know that 2 yrs is the optimal time, but my son's VERY interested. Can I start this early if we make it an undemanding experience... just to sort of give him the general idea? He has a very large vocabulary (200 or so words) and often tells me when he's peeing or pooping. He also applauds Daddy and me when we go and says, "Yay, Potty!" I'm a stay-at-home mom so I have the time to devote to this, can it work or are we too eager?

My daughter won't sleep in her own bed. We just moved her from her crib to a big girl bed and she flips out every time I try to put her in the bed. She used to go to sleep so easily in her crib. I'd just simply lay her down, turn off the lights and close the door. I do the same routine but she won't let me turn off the light, or shut the door and the worst of all is she screams uncontrollably, climbs out of her bed and out of her room. I quietly escort her back to bed but after the10th time or so my other kids are crying because she woke them or keeps them from sleeping. It's driving me nutso. WHAT DO I DO???

I was wondering is it necessary for kids to wear those hard botttom shoes until they're 5 or older. My son is 3 and he wore them during the time he started to walk and for a while after that. Probably until he was about 2(maybe a little longer). Lately I buy him different shoes (sneakers, boots, sandals, etc). My mom seems to think he should wear them until he is 6 or 7 (something to do with his arch and balance or something). I've discussed this with other moms around my age (30) who have more than one child, and they say they don't have problems with their kids that wear sneakers and some never wore the hard bottoms. Of course, my mom goes on about the younger
generation doing things so different and us not knowing anything and so on. Does anyone know exactly how long kids should wear these shoes and if him wearing other shoes will hurt him later.

I realize that this is "normal" behaviour, what can the parents do to help the situation?
