First of all if a kid is hospitalized during school, well its common sense they take him to that setting right away if his life is in risk.
As how a kid would see this, depends how he is feeling but it could be quite scary without seeing mommy or daddy with him at the moment of hospitalization.

The closest would be C .....No matter how good the attachment with his primary caregiver the child will be bewildered by the surroundings and afraid .
you have stated that the child is not prepared for the ordeal so i woukd also think he would be dealing with some abandonment issues here. Lots of fear and crying and anger....poor kid..
