We live in an apartment with very thin walls. Could we get evicted if our baby cries a lot (like if he is sick in the middle of the night or something)? What if our 2 year old throws temper tantrums at 7:30am or some such hour?

They will take naps in their rooms but not at bed time, . No it is not due to the t.v either cause they both have t.v's in there rooms. Is this a phase does every toddler do this . my daughter slept in her room till she was about 1 and a half same with my son . what is going on ???

Please tell me how you got your kid to eat veggies. I have tried everything. Make it fun, cut it into shapes, keep offering it, blah blah blah. I'm not going to give her veggies and nothing else, I don't believe in that. But there's got to be something I can do. I put different veggies in front of her for 21 days in a row and every day she refused to take a bite. Any ideas? Remember, don't tell me to starve her out because I'm not gonna do it! Thanks

i cry a lot and this question is not about that but rather should I hide this from my little 2 year old? Am I doing harm?

My sadness is never about him. I tell him mama is ok and it isnt his fault and I try to compose myself right away

He used to be the perfect sleeper. He would take naps without problems and go to bed without a fuss. Over the past two weeks he has started screaming when we leave the room and will stand in his crib and yell. Why the transformation?

Last night, my 3.5 year old decided that he didn't want to eat his applesauce (which he's had before and we know he likes), so he was told that he wouldn't get anything else to eat until he finished it. So for breakfast we put it in front of him again, and he refused to eat it. Lunch same thing. Finally about 3 this afternoon he decided to eat it (I guess he was pretty hungry at that point).

So my question is, if you've done the old "if he gets hungry enough he'll eat it" with your kids how long did it take for them to eat it?

My daughter will be 3 in May and I am just wondering if she is smarter that average. She can name about 7 colors, 4 shapes and can count to 17. She has started counting to 4 in Spanish recently too. She also says the alphabet and has been doing so for about a year. She is starting to name numbers and letters too. She seems to remember every song she hears and sings all the time. I have a 7 year old and a 5 month old so unfortunately I am not exposing her to this stuff all the time. She just seems to know lots of things that I don't remember having taught her. Just wondering....

okay..my bf's youngest daughter, 4 years old, has taken to calling me mommy whenever she's around me. my response is always "i'm not your mommy" and she replies "yes you are!" i say "no...you have a mommy" and she says "no, she's dead" i say "no she's not" and it goes back and forth like that for a while. i take it that she just enjoys spending time with me, but i'm not sure if i should react differently to it...i've told her father about it and he thinks it's funny (i think he has it in mind that i'll be a step-mommy someday)....still...any thoughts?

got back from deployment a week ago, the whole 6months i was gone, my wife had daughter sleep in my spot in the bed. now that i am back, we just bought a toddler bed for her and put it in her own room.

right now we put her in her bed when she is already sleep and about 3-4 in the morning she would wake up and come in the bed with us.

but if we put her in the toddler bed awake, she would cry like crazy and then come to our room.

What is the best method to help ease her into her own bed? and how long do you think it would take for her to adjust. we were thinking about turning on a cartoon and put the tv on a sleep timer, but decided not to. any advise would be helpful. thanks.

My 2 year old lil girl refused to eat her dinner. I told her that if she didnt eat, she was not getting any thing else tonight to eat. Now she's walking around with her lips poked out because she wants yogurt. (she loves yogurt). Should I give in and just give her the yogurt or should I stick to what I told her earlier? She looks so sad :-(

I was told that since I'm pregnant i shouldnt pick up my toddler, or do other things that i do everyday. I dont have someone that is with me everyday to do these things for me. i know that i shouldnt lift heavy things, but my b/f is out of town a lot working, and i have a household to run. i would like to know if i should wait for him to get home, even if it means putting things off for up to a week, or should i do what i can, within reason of course. i dont want to cause harm to my unborn baby, but my toddler needs help sometimes, and it requires me to have to pick her up. please give me some good advice
