You are right, that is crap!! You are supposed to start brushing a kids teeth as soon as they come in, at least wiping them with a cloth or something to get the plaque off. My daughter is 2 and we have been brushing her teeth for about a year and a half, and every time has been a struggle, but we just do it. You can try cute toothbrushes or giving her a sticker everytime she lets you brush them. If that doesn't work, you will probably have to just hold her and do it whether she cries or not. You don't want her to have a mouthful of rotten teeth, which will happen if you don't brush them.

My son had the same problem (still does occasionally, and he's 6 now!). His was caused by a "postnasal drip" as my doctor called it. Not to be gross, but it was mucus that dripped down the back of his throat. It can sometimes have a foul odor. He had this drip from a cold he had that just lasted for months after and didn't clear up until summertime.
Does your daughter have any allergies, or is she getting over a cold or anything that maybe she would haev the same thing? If not, I'd definitely try brushing her teeth - make sure you use a non-flouride toothpaste though. I got those Crest spinbrushes for my kids, wtih a character they liked on them - even my autistic son didn't midn using them. Hope this helps!

Brush them the night before, and let her help. You are a right that is crap. Use a tiny amount of childrens crest. Put it on a wrag, or they do make these things that you put on your finger, you can find them in the baby section usually in a toddler teeth brushing kit. And actually, it is the tongue you are smelling mostly, drainage coming from the nose, you may not even have to use toothpaste but a little water and wash of the teeth and tongue.

Hello, Please brush her teeth twice a day minimum, you can buy toothpaste formulated for kids with fruity flavours if that helps, you just have to force it, make it fun and do yours at the same time, maybe let her play a bit with the brush herself then "finish" off quickly after? only need a dab of the paste as well, not a whole line as we do.
Another thing really important is not to let her sleep with a bottle, its tempting to give her some apple juice or milk last thing and let her nod off with it but thats the quickest way to rot teeth and helps promote bacteria and bad breath, believe me, I have seen what it can do! the best way is to brush her teeth after her last feed or dinner then only give her water to sip on during the night.
Another thing is to put 10 drops of fluoride daily into her bottle or food, It has absolutely no flavor at all, you can buy it in the pharmacy. It will improve her teeth and mouth hygiene overall.

Actually since the babies are born it is recomended to whipe thier mouth with a cloth or gove them water after each bottle of milk so they can lear to have thier mouth clean.. But as soon as your baby turn 1 he/ she needs to visit the dentist for his/ her first check up and after that every 6 months... as soon as a baby starts having teeth you can start learning how to brush there are specila and soft brushes for kids and so as tooth paste that if they swallow it nothing bad will happend, or there is also a brush that you put in your finger and you brush their teeth.. This is what I have used with my kids first the brush in the finger and then star teaching them brush their teeth ... just make it fun i she doesn't want to brush but try to brush her teeth every morning and at nigth and during the day after lunch....Take her to a dentist so she can have her teeth checked !!

I would use one of those baby toothbrushes that they sell that are very soft and some baby toothpaste. Try to brush her tongue, maybe it's the milk that stays on her tongue that gives her the bad breath. Try to make it into a game for her, make faces, stick out your tongue and she if she will copy you. It might work! Good luck!

Does she have a everyday comforter or blankie? If no longer, possibly enable her %. one at the same time as out paying for. Then 'placed on' it on your self (someplace discreet) so via bedtime, it will smell of you. you additionally can attempt a relaxing lavender room scenter (like a wall plug-in vaporiser). in case you have an mp3 participant, possibly acquire the two a lullaby or white noise to purpose and help soothe her in her room. ought to you besides might placed a mattress in her room (as a final motel) so which you're in her room as a convenience to her, relatively than getting her used to napping on your room? ultimately, i found Elizabeth Pantley's: The No Cry Sleep answer e book useful. wish this facilitates!
