she has seen us fight in the past and unfortunately she has caught on and believes this is okay if mom and dad are doing it.
I dont need advice on my relationship, I know it's not healthy and I'm finding a way out, till then, how do I help correct my child from thinking this is okay besides not letting it happen in front of her again?

Were you spanked as a child and now you spank your kids? Do you find it a useful tool in disipline?
My answer- is not if I don't have to. I have only spanked my daughter a few times and that was because she has a bad habbit of running off in the middle of the parking lot or taking off in the middle of the store. One time she ran so far away from me when I was 7 months pregnant that I had to have other customers help me find her. I think spanking can only be used in extreme circumstances not for every day misbehaviors. Time out is effective. Honest answers please.

I painted my nails with my 2 year old daughter for a wedding. My son has been asking ever since then if I would paint his nails. I gently would try to distract him and put it off: "Let's finish our art project 1st and then we'll do it." (Then when art project is done, he's forgotten about it.) Well, finally, he climbed up into the cabinet and brought me the nail polish! So I painted them. Now my husband is mad and is making fun of him and telling him he won't be seen in public with him. Should I have painted my son's nails? Is it okay for my husband to make my son feel bad about this?

He'll turn 4 in two weeks but I don't know if his level of speech is progressing at a normal pace. He has around 10 sentences that he's memorized, but he has trouble describing anything other than those 10. Should I seek professional help or am I just worrying to much about nothing. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I am expected to care for two little boys, a five year old and a nine year old. I have absolutely no experience with kids, I can barely stand them. Well, I can stand them, but only in small doses. The nine year old (Frankie) is okay, but the five year old (Danny) is Mini-Satan. And with Danny running everywhere, Frankie begins to feel left out and becomes a handful too. I just got them to bed and am taking refuge in a locked room with my laptop. I don't think their slumber will last long. What's the best way to handle overactive children without drugs or alcohol? I await answers, and possibly a delivery of vodka and asprin to get me through the night.

OMG, my little guy is 22 months, apparently somewhere in the last week or so a 'switch' turned on and holy crap, whiny, mischevious, defiant, adventurous, shall I go on. I think I have the 2-yr old 'male' version of PMS......Please tell me that I am not alone. He is also a very bad sleeper, always has been. Any suggestions will do.

I'm a single mom with a 4 year old son. He always has poop in his underwear. He has been potty trained for over a year now. He doesn't wipe very well and tonight he pooped in his underwear several times. I don't know what to do anymore. I've wiped for him and shown him how to do it himself. Nothing seems to work. HELP

If he gets in trouble no discipline is working, he gets spankings he gets grounded he gets no toys no tv no desert after dinner has to clean the bathroom and pick up dog poop out side, has to stay in his room and be completly miserable, but it doesn't seem to phase him, he still laughs at you and act like it's no problem all of the punishment he has had and he still continues to mis-behave and cause trouble at day care and at home, he is a very smart child and the first to show affection I just don't understand the bad behavior and how to correct it.

My mother said to make a chart and give him stars for good behavior and at the end of the day some kind of prize for good behavior.

Anyone have any other ideas?

It's been happening for over a week now and it's getting worse. At the beginning she was having one accident a day. Now it's up to 3-5 accidents a day. She doesn't complain of any aches or pains. She knows when she has to go. It is very frustrating. I'm all out of ideas. Any advice?
