my first 3 boys were 3yrs 3 mths when they were potty trained. But with my 4th son I started potty training him in april..he was 2yrs 3mths and he is fully potty trained now..I wanted him to be potty trained before the new baby came..But he was ready.I guess because he saw his older brothers using the bathroom..But every child is different..Introduce him to the potty slowly so he can start to gain interest in not wearing a pamper.hope this helps.

My son was potty trained the day after he turned two. I hated changing diapers. But it depends on the kid, some boys hate being dirty, others don't care. The first step to potty training is getting a toddler toilet that he can sit on. With my son even before he was two he had a potty that he would sit on and read a book (I like my potty or something like that) and he would just sit on that naked while he read. If he actually went to the bathroom while sitting there, we did the potty dance and got a special treat (cookie) and just celebrated. It helps training before you're actually ready to train. Remmber to be consistent!!!!!

My son used to try to go in his pull-ups. So I told him "You are big boy you need to in potty.". I went and showed him the potty with him , showed him how everything works on a potty. The next I saw using the potty. Potty training should start at about 8-9 mos.

it doesnt really matter. my mom runs an out-of-home daycare, and some kids potty train earlier, or later, than others. for ex. , one little girl will b 2 in sept. - she's been potty training since april., another little girl, who will b 4 in sept., started when she was 2 1/2- and wore pull-ups 2 poop until she was 3. it all depends on the child

For the most part people do it around the childs 2nd birthday. It is best to introduce your child slowly and also watch for ques from the child that indicate he is starting to be ready (such as being uncomfortable in a wet diaper, or knowing when "the pee is coming out")

Everyone has different ideas on this - your best taking your baby's lead.

My son is poopin on the potty at 9 months but obviously can't make the connection yet - but it will come!

We waited till he was understanding a little at 30 month and one day when he was home with big sister not being around we let him walk and play around the house without covering his bottom. As soon as he needed to go we noticed he would stand around with legs pressed together. We took him to the bathroom and that was it! He learned very quick! We decided to not push him but rather wait till we felt he understood what was happening.

Actually your baby body will be ready to do that at 2 years old, but you can try before that. Take him to the bathroom 30 minutes after he drinks fluids.

I set my sons on the toilet at 9mths for fun and to get use to . Never made them use it but if they did i praise them and by 1 1/2 there were in underwear.

Its about consistancy and set schedule .
