Ok moms - I've tried every sippy cup that is available where I live and they ALL leak, even when the package says they don't. Please tell me there is one out there that really doesn't leak. I'm so tired of cleaning up the mess! Any advice?

I am going to visit my cousin and her family in a couple of weeks and I need some gift ideas for her 2 kids. Her stepson is 4 and her daughter is 18 months. What would be good to bring them, but also easy to travel with? I was thinking clothes, but thats too boring. Books maybe, but does anyone have any suggestions for their ages. I know that they already have a lot of books so I don't know if thats even a good idea. Thanks in advance.

He will only pee in the toilet but no poop. My sister works full time and he starts kindergarten. Still in pull ups!!! I think he likes his butt wiped to be honest but he can do that on his own. Also, he has ADHD.

I have a 4 year old neice and she plays in her mommys car so for a punishment she spanks her daughter and makes her sit in the car! windows up and it's been like 80-90 here! I yelled at her about it and she told me to mind my own business! Should I next time step away and call the cops or what? Not really sure who I can call..but i dont want her to find out it's me that called!
I get so angry with her i just want to knock her out and stick her in the trunk of the car so that she would know what it felt like!
I took my neice home with me for a few days and didnt call her mom and her mom never called me! her daughter had a fit when I left her! Also she has a 9 month old who she treats like a queen!
How can a parent treat one like a queen and the other like she's trash..she's a single mom and the grils have different daddys!
I dont know what to do but I am sure if it happens again in front of me I will be in jail, for kickin some butt!

I know this woman,( who I wouldn't call a friend),she's a neigbor, that treats her step daughter differently than her own son, the stepdaughter is 4, the son is 2, and she's pregnant again with a girl, I fear the mom will always show favortism to her own children over her stepdaughter, I Know she doesn't physically abuse her, she feeds her etc. even tells her she loves her, they have tender moments but most of the time the Mom is yelling at her for everything she does. I have never experienced being yelled and screamed at, how is this going to effect this child? and how will she endure the moms favortism of the half siblings?

She is very shy and doesn't interact w/ people that much. So, we thought school may be beneficial for her in terms of socializing inthe outside world. She does talk and play and does many other things at home with us. We don't have family here and can't visit friends all the time. So, she doesn't get to see/meet/interact w/ people that much; in a way she sees her parents and babysitter only -- not even a babysitter anymore for mom is home for a couple of months now. When I leave her in the morning, she cries and holds on to me, and I wonder if I am putting her through a lot and maybe she is not ready for school yet. What should I do? Any suggestions? Thank you everyone for your responses/thoughts.

My two year old is now the king of whine. He whines about EVERYTHING. What creative things have you done to get your young toddler to stop whining? (Spanking is NOT an option; time out has already run its course and doesn't work anymore... and my patience is running out too :)

OK.. he has been having issues lately (see my other recent questions if you like..) I am supposed to get a stool sample from him. I have 3 vials from the doc, but my problem is he is having such watery diarrhea that it soaks into his diaper on contact, and the samples are not supposed to come in contact with urine. Any suggestions on how I can do this? I was given a hat, and watch for when I though he was going to go, I put him on (he was on for 10 minutes) RIGHT when I took him off and got his diaper on he went.... Its like he waited to get off the hat. Please any suggestions/ helpful hints anything would be appreciated!

My daughter learned her ABCs at 18-20 months, and at 23 months can now recite them with little problem, and also knows how to count to 10. I've tried looking to see what the average age is for a child to learn their ABCs but to no avail. Is she early in learning them?

What have you taught your children or what names were you taught ?

Our two year old son is starting to want to know where his girl cousin's "weenie" is. "Vagina" just seems too vulgar coming out of a two year old's mouth.
