I found it to be interesting. Basically it said that a parent needs to find quality daycare and be a good parent and your child may not have behavioural problems later in life.
My daughter (18 months) has been in daycare since she was 13 months about 7 hours a day. I don't feel it's the ideal situation but I don't financially have a choice. I also feel her daycare is quality. I,as her parent, make sure we stick to a routine and when I pick her up she has my undivided attention until 5:00 when I have to make dinner and start a few other chores. I'm hoping that will detour any issues down the road.
What are your thoughts about this new study?

Yesterday i asked my friend out to the movies, she said yes. Then i told her that it will happen in May when Spider-Man 3 comes out, if that is fine with you. She said ok i will bring my cousin Jaycee. Then i said ok i am looking forward to it. She said ok, i will your mom and ask her where is the best place to meet, what time to meet for the movie, what are the times that the movie starts, and that i will buy the tickets and the popcorn with the drinks.

Question: If a guy has a crush on a girl, can the girl know how the guy feels about her? -or- Does the guy have to express his personal feelings toward her? Cause i am always thinking about my friend however, i want to be honest with her by telling her that i love her and that i have been thinking about her. How can i tell her about my personal feelings toward her WITHOUT TRYING TO CREEP HER OUT? How can i try to go out with her more often?

I'm of course talking about co-sleeping in a safe way, after the risk of SIDS is gone. What's wrong with a "family bed" if that's what works for the family?

I ask this because I don't fit into any particular mode for parenting style yet I feel this label is a misnomer. There are many moms who are in the middle of the road who are attached to their children.

My two week old seems to always lay with the right side of her head down. I put her on her back, but she never seems to want to lay her head to left. Do you think this is ok?

My one year old eats table food/finger food snacks and dinner. But his breakfast and lunch are still babyfood. He just doesn't get enough food in his mouth with those little hands, it seems to me for him to get enough food, if I were to switch to table food only. I think he still needs the babyfood until he's a better eater. What's a general guidline for when babies/toddlers stop eating babyfood?

She is five years - just kidding, five months old. It is going so well, and she has started solids and likes them (this is going great too). Breast milk is so good for her, and not to mention cost effective. I don't want to quit, but when is it become odd?

I've recently got in a relationship with a man that has to kids from his previous marriage. Their ages are 7 and 9.
Now the children had no kind of displine, morals, manners or anything taught to them by the mother.
The father was out working 4 jobs to support his family and wasn't around the kids as much as the mom...so now that i'm in there life its hard to disipline them because its all new to them!!!
Well weve tried talking, time-outs, punishments and rewards and nothing is working!!! And the mother is turning the kids against me because of how happy we were until she came around!?!!

Do you think it is okay for step-parents to whoop their step-kids?
And do you have any other ideas on how to make the kids behave correctly?

My daughter was about 8 months old when my husband and her father abandon both us. I filed for the divorce and he was granted visitation of course, but it was to be supervised and the communication was to be through both our parents. She is now 19 months old and he has only came to two of his visitations in which he brought her back an hour early. His mother started calling my mother again and she told me she was not able to deal with her because of the stress (she's had 3 heart attacks so far) so now there's no one to facilitate the visitations and after 10 months I don't want them taking her anywhere because I don't think she'll remember them and don't want to put her in a car with complete strangers to her. I also have a wonderful man now who loves her as much as her biological father should, and he is willing to adopt her but money is short for that now. I don't know what to do about any of it..

I am 20, a college student, and I have been babysitting since I was fourteen. I have only three references, (aside from once or twice sittings) and I babysat long-term for these families. One family had one son (I babysat him for a year, from 3 to 4). Another family had two children (8 and 10) and I babysat them for about a year, maybe a little more. I babysat a small girl (from age 2 to 4, and now I babysit her at the age of 5 going on 6). I charge $7.00 an hour, with an additional dollar per child (2 children: $8.00, 3 children $9.00). I do not babysit more than three children by myself (I recruit a friend - we don't charge extra, and we split the money equally). I usually babysit on the East sideof Cleveland. While babysitting, I do light cleaning, I cook or serve snacks, I can take the children to the park (with parent's permission) and I carry a notebook with all important emergency & medical info in it. Am I charging too little, too much, or just right?

LOL, I'm sure I will get a lot of hateful answers. But my best friend had a little girl 6 weeks ago and she ALWAYS talks about how beautiful she is, I guess its denial or something. And she sends weekly pictures which only get uglier and uglier. Did you have an ugly baby? Were you able to admit it?

In the past 2 summes I've worked at summer camps/enrichments for children. One was geared toward special needs and the other toward poor/neglected children. And I've noticed at both camps all the kids seem to be very loud, rambacious, and prone to rule breaking. So are parents more neglectful these days and does it depend on social class as well as how the parents treat the children? And also I know a couple of very young kids who were neglected by their mother who didn't put them first and forced family members to take care of them. It irks me so.

Ok I am on a "baby etiquette" streak.

I can't stand it when I am trying to do my shopping and here is a couple with thier obnixous children in the isles.

I can understand a single parent needing to bring thier children, but if there are two parents and several mis-behavied children do you really need to make the grocery trip a family affair?
