I walked in the room one day and he was you know masturbating and he grabbed the remote and shut off the T.V really fast! So i said what are you doing he said nothing and ran upstairs, but what really upsets me is when i turned the T.V. back on Barney the little kid show was on and it had me stumped! Is he pleasuring himself to little kids on the show or the friendly dinosuar himself I just dont know is there any advice for a concerned parent???

No, your son is acting strange, unless he's 13 or older and watching Barney.....
All children masterbate... alot... hey, it feels good! Who wouldn't run away if someone caught them playing with themselves!

As a parent we tend to put more into a situation than there really is, keep an eye on the situation and if you see a pattern, then seek intervention, but like previously mentioned masturbation is not as taboo as previously suggested and I don't think the Barney thing will last that long. Maybe you should sit and watch an episode with him. I wish you well in this situation.

how old is your son? If he's a teen-ager or older I'd be concerned,real concerned. But if he's a small child, it probably wouldn't matter to him what he was watching at the time.
