Can you tape the switch up? He shouldn't have the motor skills to be able to peel the tape off. But he sounds pretty sly... better get that video camera ready.

Can you change the switch style? The fans in our house are on a dial that controls the fan's speed. Although you can turn it off with the dial I would think that it would be more likely that he would simply change the fan speed most of the time.

Or you might be able to put in a keyed switch kind of like what some schools and businesses have. That would be a slot where you put a "key" into. Then the key becomes the switch and you pull it out when you're done.

replace the light switch face plate with one that he cannot flip on and off himself. Check out home depot or any hardware store for options. or you could have an electrician disconnect the switch so the fan and light will always have to be turned on and off manually from the light fixture itself. Another option is to buy a floor fan to put on the other side of the room as a back up in case he does turn his main fan off.

Find a better spot to move his crib. OR pull the crib a tad bit away from the wall so he can't reach.
