i had a dream the other night my step-daughter pinched my newborn i have had other dreams that she will be mean to my child i havent given birth yet this is my first could that be why im worried my step-daughter is going to hurt her sister she doesnt like me at all eather she is mean to me olny when her dad is gone he dont belive me when i tell him she said she wants me to moveout, and that she dont like me should i worry that she might hurt my baby or not?!?!?!?!?!

My brother rough houses with my daughter (she is 7). They have alot of fun but when I ask him to be more gentle. He doesn't. When I corner him about it, his attitude is that I am single mom and my daughter needs a man, besides life is hard and she needs to toughen up.. or some crap like that. Anyway, one minute she will be laughing and they are having so much fun, then she says 'stop' and he doesn't stop playing rough (not to be mean... he just doesn't 'hear' her or me). He is a fun guy, handsome, sucessful, a great sense of humor and a very strong personality. My daughter has on occasion gotten hurt (by accident like biting her tongue and stuff when it gets to rough). I told my mom that this it really upsetting me and that kids need to learn their 'no' counts and that their mom's 'no' counts too. That kids that dont' feel in control of their lives end up letting people abuse them. Basically I was told that I am over reacting because she only sees him a occasionally.

Saw this on 20/20 last night where the parents decided to have kids even though there was a large chance of passing on something they had called "lobster claw". Just like it sounds, severely deformed hands shaped like a lobster.

Their kids ended up with the same bad deformities as their parents. What would you have done?

well i am always tierd. i mean i am CONSTANTLY tierd. unlike normal teenagers my age staying up all night .party. fun? no i fall alspeep regualarly aorund eight. I can sleep for 12 hours and still feel miserably tierd. I also get uncontolably mad for little reasons that shouldnt make me mad. but little things frustrate me soo bad latly. the simplest thing can set me off and im constantly tierd and i eat about once a day. at dinner. and sometimes at lunch but if i try to eat in the morning i get sick to my stomach. i dont exactly think i have like an illnes ut maybe i have somthing wrong with me to where i can find some answers

i'm engaged to a wonderful women but i'm afraid she maybe pushing herself into the stepmom role to soon.she means well but this drives my ex crazy.for example my gf wants to go to parent/teacher conferences(which i love but my ex hates) with me.my ex is a very bitter vengeful controlling person who made my life hell when i was with her.my gf is totally opposite and i would love her to be involved with my son.the problem is this makes my ex crazy and and i want to do whats best for my son.i have told my gf to back off on the stepmom stuff for now but this has made her upset.she feels i should stand up for her to my ex but i just see it as making it easier for my son by going along with my ex for now.hopefully when she finds a bf things will get better but in the mean time how should i handle this?

Does anyone think that if you are infertile that the government should assist you with adoption or at least make it affordable in some way. Why does it have to be so expensive to adopt a child when there are so many couples that can not have kids that would love to have one but can not afford to adopt and....there are so many kids that are just sitting waiting and many that will never get adopted.

i had a friend whose daughter was mentaly disable since birth,which i did not know untill i had my kid. i was very unaware about kids and whatever i said infront of her about my kid she took it very badly but never told me on my face. she could be very angry but did not tell me. i was a very naive person and ocassinaly said stupid things too. now for some reason we moved out and we are not in touch. but i know she spread the words about me that i am a very heartless person who like to laught and make fun of other kids.now it is 4 years now and we changed 4 schools becouse of moving, rumour about me going every where. my son's friend's parents thinks about me how she thinks.i asked for oppologies but she is not opening about what i did.i am very dipressed and do not know what to do.my husband do not think that she is doing this and not helping out.please advise me what to do.please note i never said anything intionally.

I want to have an open relationship with my daughter who is 5 because I know how it is to not be open with eachother me and my mother never had an open conversation I was too scared to what she would say, I want to be able to talk to my daughter about boys and you know the girly things but sometimes I think she might be scared to tell me. My son is 25 and has a child to a girl who has another child from a previous relationship. He's not working, lacks confidence, is drinking and he seems to be so far away emotionally. My daughter is 22 and has been in a relationship with a man who is over 40. I don't have a problem with the age but she seems to be manipulated by him. He calls her several times a day and sometimes up to 3am which disturbs my sleep. They break up and go back together every week, he won't allow her to have male friends and went through her laptop recently to find her yahoo chat friends, he was angry over it. I guess I can't do much about their lives as I have exhausted myself trying. I have studied at uni for years to become a teacher and I have 1 year left, I'm scared that I will not be able to keep a job because this has been so consuming. My mother tells me I will never have my own life. I wanted to teach in rural areas but there's little chance of that. I'm 43, no relationship and no friends, HELP!

I am sick/scared of these granola tree hugging mommies who co-sleep , and instinctively parent while feeding their ( always dirty and unkempt) children unpasturized organic food products and refuse vaccinations so the rest of us can start worrying about Polio and Small Pox outbreaks again ! I think these people should all be investigated by CPS and forced to shave their arm pits and legs , and cover their gnarly toenails in closed toe shoes ....eeeww !

last weekend my fiance & i went to my moms vacation home with her(a 3hour drive) under the impression that the 3 of us would spend time together. well we get there on fri night, her boyfriend is there, fine ok no biggie, next morning we wake up at 11:30 boyfriend is still there, then he leaves around noon. great now i can spend time with mom. all is well until 5:30, i told her lets start dinner (im 29 weeks prego so i was HUNGRY!!) she wont make dinner, just snacks.i thought that was wierd, then at 7 she starts dinner then tells me her bf is coming for dinner. i told her you know what im just going to go home, i came here to spend time with you and not u & your bf this is the 1st time ive met her bf and i felt that she was pushing him on me & she tells me that it is her house and she can invite whoever she wants over for dinner. i told her that is true, but i can also decide who i want to be around, and i choose to leave if i cant spend my time with just u. so i left
was i wrong to go

I am really curious about this because the majority of prisoners have either been spanked or beaten by their parents.

Isn't it the discipline that matters, not the act of spanking? You can spank your kids all day but unless you take the time to teach them right from wrong you aren't helping them learn the skills they need to stay out of trouble.

If your kid has a kid why don't you make them be responsible. I know parents who end up being their grandchilds parent. While there kid goes movies and the mall and gets to have regular life. While i know others who make them own up to their resposiblity as a parent. They decided to have sex and have a baby. They need to get a job and if they are to young they need to go to school and come home and take care of their child. You don't get free babysitting and still get to hang out. You are no longer a child. If you want me to watch your child i will charge you like a babysitter would and as soon as you are able to work you will and help pay for the expense. I Also know one parent who kept her daughter child while she went a way to college. While another parent that made her daughter take her twins or she wasn't going to go. She did and worked and got her degree while caring for her kids because they are her not her mothers. So why don't more parents do this

What's the best way to behave in behavior school so I can go back in a week..im suppose to go for 18 weeks but my dean was telling me that if I behave and do everything they tell me to, I could go in this Monday and be out next Monday.. and the dean realllllllllllllyy loves me and her friend works there so I really, really want to get out of there ASAP... all I did was make a rude comment to the deans which is nothing.. any tips on how I should act and what to do when I arrive if I want to get out in less than a week?

I am currently going through an adoption homestudy and my mother is an alcoholic. I don't have much contact with her and when I do see her she is always sober. My children would never be around her without another adult ect. I have dealt with her alcoholism as my sister is an addiction conselor and my father is a M.D. Just wondering the social worker will see this as an issue?

i am 14 year old guy and i live with my mom and step dad but they hate being naked and i am the oppist. I love being naked i want to walk from my room to the bath room naked so i wont have to bring all my clothes back to my room its just easier. also i want to sleep naked so i dont have to wash clothes as much. also if i can walk around naked i can also save from doing as much washing. And i dont get the piont of clothes i mean were not born with them so y do we use them there just more you have to buy
