What's the best way to behave in behavior school so I can go back in a week..im suppose to go for 18 weeks but my dean was telling me that if I behave and do everything they tell me to, I could go in this Monday and be out next Monday.. and the dean realllllllllllllyy loves me and her friend works there so I really, really want to get out of there ASAP... all I did was make a rude comment to the deans which is nothing.. any tips on how I should act and what to do when I arrive if I want to get out in less than a week?

That will be a lot better then the 18 weeks, huh? Did your Mom sit with them yet?

Anyway. The first thing is to realize and say to yourself what you did was something or you wouldn't be in behavior school. It may have not been that one thing but it could have been an accumulation of a lot of events which led up to it and that one little simple thing took it over the edge so don't look at it as coming down to one moment in time.

Secondly, just go in there and act like there is no place on the face of the Earth you would rather be then where you are right then, right there and make it the best week of our life and you will get out early. Act like this is was the choice between being thrown out of regular school for 4 1/2 months or 5 days and you will have a good attitude because that is what it could have been. No one should have to tell you how fortunate this break may be for you so you do everything in your power to make it work.

The very best of luck to you!

RESPECT! The most important thing you will ever do is show other people respect. Even if you think they don't deserve it, it costs you nothing to show it. People see someone who respects them as someone to respect. Many people, especially young men, feel that when they show soemone else respect that they make themselves less in some way. Think about it though, you get what you want and the respect you want and deserve when people think of you as a nice, smart, well-behaved yong man. Being polite and encouraging people to talk about themselves by listening intently and asking polite questions that are on topic can give people the impression that you are really interested in them and they are more likely to think highly of you. It works in school, with both friends/classmates and with staff. It works with parents, and with everyone else. Practice it now and you will find that it benefits you more in the end. Apologize to the dean you offended and explain, but don't make an excuse. "I am really sorry about what I said. It had been a long day and I had assumed that you were just going to make it harder. I really didn't mean to take it out on you. It's no excuse and I will keep control of my temper better." When you say it like that, you let him be a good guy and go easy on you without making him feel like he is being played. People like to be heroes, especially to those that respect them.
Hope that helps, and keep your tongue in the future, life is easier that way.

Do what you are told, follow all the rules, follow the dress code, smile and be friendly, do all assignments on time and neatly, raise hand to speak in class, dont chew gum, keep any attitude in check and address teachers and deans with respect. Don't fight with any students, don't curse and say please and thank you.
Good luck Julio
