The payments go straight into Gordon Brown's overflowing coffers. I'm paying CSA contributions, and have done so for a few years now. I don't begrudge the payments per se, as my kids are my responsibility. However, my ex wife has never actually seen a penny of it in real terms. My contributions are automatically deducted from her Income Support benefits.
It's just yet another stealth tax from this wonderful Labour (the working man's party; ha ha ha!) government of ours.

I know you are looking for answers, not questions? but who is CSA and what are child maintenance payments? it almost sounds like child support you are referring to... but child support agencies exist in every state...?

The Government has set up a new agency to take over from the failing one they will let themselves be known in due time, I can't remember the name though.

heard on the news a while back that now it is up to the parents to sort it out between them but if it doesnt work then someone (not sure who) will step in and sort it out. hope that helps.
