when you shop for your kids that are 12 months to 5 years, what do you look for? do you go by what everyone else is wearing or do you prefer to buy based on comfort father than style? also how much is a bargain, whats a fair price and whats a total rip off?

I mean 13-18. If your daughter got pregnant and she wanted to keep it would you make her get an abortion or put it up for adoption? I'm not talking about your daughter getting raped or something and you not wanting her to deal with a rape baby, but she got pregnant from her boyfriend or a guy she choose to sleep with.

This happened to my mom's friend. She was like 14 and her and the father wanted to keep it but her mom made her get an abortion. I always thought it was sad.

She's 14, has got this awful attitude, doesn't respect me or her father. I know it's normal for her age, but honestly, I feel like grounding her forever. She won't sit and talk!

say the dad has never seen the kids and ran out... never to be seen. Can the mother raise
-a daughter who will be secure and still have a good view of life and not 'act out by sleeping around'
-a boy to be a man and not a carbon copy of his feminine raising and to be successful and secure in his manhood

I am a single mom. My brother rough houses with my daughter and I have asked him so many times to be more gentle with her. He has accidently hurt her a little. Not bad... but by being more rough then I am comfortable with. They have so much fun and laugh and play. But as a parent I would like to be able to say 'don't be so rough' and have that respected instead of ignored. There have been times that she has asked him to stop as well, and he hasn't. Finally I emailed him and told him that this is starting to upset me. It shouldn't be such a big deal. Just stop when the parent asks you too. He emailed me back saying this: "she doesn't have a dad or brothers so I am helping her toughen up because life is hard out there." I felt that he was basically saying that I am raising her to be a wimp and that I am not capable, as a single mother to raise a well balanced child that can do well out in the world. How would you as a mother take this? Would you feel cristisized?

we have a small child as well, and right now I live in HIS house that he had before...we have been thinking of this for the last 2 years and have even looked at some homes...NOW he is saying he is scared of buying a house together because if we break up I would get half of whatever the house...I have been a stay home mom since my sons birth ad ave basically given up my dream of having a career to stay home and because he is very insecure (thinks my own money would mean I dont need him) so anyways I am wondering if I am wasting my time on a dream that will never happen...I dont always want to live in HIS house, I would it to be our house with BOTH our names on the title (hence a new home) I have given up alot to appease him and he doesnt want to do the same...am I wasting my time on this guy? Should I move on?

I don't have children yet(hopfully I am expecting). I'd like to think that my children will behave and I won't have to discipline, but we all know that will never happen. Anywho... I was just curious as to other peoples opinions. I believe in spanking. I think that's what's wrong with a lot of kids today: no discipline!

I can't take it (the burning sensation) but he seems to be ok with it and he wants to do it because daddy does it, he is using listerine but I am woried that this might not be apropriate for a child this age. this is in addition to regular brushing.

My daughter just went into a size 16 (from the kid sizes) and I have a sneaky suspicion that she won't be in it long. What would be the next size? Adult sizes? I'm in a tizzy over this.

Please help me. My daughter is 4 and she has gotten into the bad habit of pitching these horrible tantrums.
Spanking makes it worse.
cold water doesn't work
time out-yeah right
Nothing works
What do I do to get her back under control?
This all started when she started going to Pre-K too!

My son is 6 and half. He is very stubborn and naughty. Though i love him a lot but at times he is really irritating and drives me mad. When there is guest at home he always answers back. If he wants something then he really have to get it. Otherwise he is a very bright boy. He is very good in his studies and have never scored bad marks in his exams. How do i handle such a boy?

am I wrong feeling the way I do? my fiance of 7yrs not allowing a joint account or access to money, I did support myself proudly I worked for 5yrs, we now have a 2yr old & I am full time mum, I have no income or access to any money at all, I am a proud person & dont like the feeling of being a financial burden but with a daughter at the age of 2 & no access to money I am wondering what would happen in the case of an emergency & I am without access to any money at all, I get no money from the government as my parter earns over the threshold & I am listed as recieving a wage to minimise his tax am I selfish or wrong? wanting access to money it would be nice to go out to lunch or be able to buy my daughter clothes without feeling like a child asking for pocket money. Its hard work being a mum harder than working,my fiance seems to think its so easy saying I have the good life, I returned to work for 2months my daughter was unhappy so I decided to give her my all in her precious yrs

I'm a first time SAHM with my 4.5 mo old son. This last week was a hard one for me. Don't get me wrong I have a good baby but I just feel out of touch sometimes with my motherly instincts. I just find that I've been having a hard time lately and wanted to know if there is anyone I could chat with that's maybe in the same boat? Please don't tell me about PPD just want someone to talk to and maybe help me with what I'm going through......Too many details to list....Thanks for any support.

How do I email if it says user does not allow email? There was a few people I was interested in talking to but I click on them and that's what it says.

I've recently noticed that when I change my daughter's diaper or give her a bath, sometimes she gets really quiet and starts touching herself. I don't even think she notices she's doing it, but I'm not sure. She's 20 months old. I don't want to tell her no, cuz she's very young, so I just ignore it, or move her hand and laugh it off. Is this normal?
