She is 7, and at night when she does something against the rules and gets consequences... ie... going to her room, stand in the corner, no dessert, go to bed early... things like that, she screams, whinnes, and cries with tears and if we ignore her, she only gets louder and more abnoxious!

I am implementing a plan right now, and if it doesn't work... I need more ideas. We will go out to dinner this wednesday if neither child cries with their voice. Tears and sniffing is fine, but no crying with their voice... Any suggestions?

the fever was 102,5, didnt check in a while, because he is sleeping here with daddy. he is doing fine and happy and ate and talked and smiled.
this morning i went to the supermarket and i saw 2 paramedics and i asked them about it and they said, a little tylenol and if it doesnt go down i should see a doctor in 2 days, but i will go tomorrow.
i read its better not to give medicin so the body can fight the virus better. what do you think?

now i have another question, i already asked about which shoes to buy for my baby who just started walking by himself, everybody suggested very soft and flexible shoes, so yesterday we went to stride ride and they said we have to get stage 3 for babys who walk alone, stage 2 is when they still hold someones hand, but, stage 2 is much flexible and softer then stage 3. we still bought stage 3 as they suggested it, should i go and change them, as eeeverybode sais the softest the better for beginning walkers (can walk by himself).
thanks again

Or would you have them earn one themselves with a parttime job?

What if they play a high school sport during each season?

What if they have a really tough advanced placement schedule and they don't have time for a part time job?

Just wondering....

my son is 13 he wets his bed, and pants during the day and night. i took him to the doctors last night. he is ok. the doctors did alot of testes on him. and they could find nothing wrong. i am sick of wet clothes and bed sheets.since there is nothing wrong would it be ok to put him in diapers. the doctor said he is acting out by wetting on purpous. since he does that i want to put him in diapers and treat him like a baby. i figure if he wants to actlike a baby then he most defenatly can be treated like one. thats fine right. i figured why put pull ups on a 13 year old if he wets his pants on purpous. why not diapers and rubber pants.

The other day, I was washing my car, and my neighbor was gossiping with another neighbor, while her 1-year old baby was left unattended dancing and running around the street. Then, the baby tripped, and started rolling on the floor. To my horror, a car appears, and nearly hits the baby. Luckily, I ran in front of the car, and it wasn't speeding. I told the mother to learn to be a better mother, and guess what she tells me? "Mind your bussiness, this is my baby" Not a single thankyou. I wanted to slap that biotch smack on the face, and call a social worker.

My 6 year old son is smart, strong, and confidant but when he's around his friends he doesn't always make the wisest decisions. The latest things have led to them playing with a kitchen firebottle that they found at a neighbooring house and having a hibachi grill in a little clubhouse that they have. He knows better than to play with both but he still did it. He has no problem telling us "no" and telling his brother "no" but he just can't seem to tell one of his friends "no." I know that it is peer pressure and we have tried everything from grounding him to the house/backyard or even from his friends but doesn't help. It is dificult forbiding him from his friends because we live in an area where there is only a few kids his age to play with and it is a tight-knit comunity. We have yet to figure out a solution to this as grounding always seems to change his attitude for a short time and then he's back to his regular behavior. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm 23(working) and I live with my 13-year-old sister(parents passed a year ago). She is usually alone at home for the whole day if she is not at school or out with friends. Two days ago I found a condom in her wardrobe.I asked her kindly why does she have this condom and she told me she likes having sex when she is at parties(her older friends organise parties and invite her and they have sex there so does she).I explained her she shouldn't be abusing herself and doing something because her friend do and she told me she was having sex rarely and only with nice boys and only whe she wants to.She is mature for her age and we respect each-other and she always talks with me about problems.I want to explain her about drugs and other things which could happen at a party and make her have sex without her agreement.Where do I find information about drugs, sex, etc?
Don't offer me not to allow her to go or to punish her-we respect each other and this is her life.I want to help her with info.

As a single mom of a 12 year old son, where we live its extremely hot during the summer. To all you moms out there how do you feel about applying sunscreen and protecting your child in the sun?

Even if he is 12 when we go to the beaches, or swimming pools, it will be ME who will be slathering sunscreen on him because I think that If I do it my self, I will feel more satisfied and that my son will be protected much more.

I dont believe that "oh mommy is putting sunscreen on me" becasue its out jobs. I use 1 tablespoon of sunscreen per arm and 2 per leg and 4 for back and front, so I know he is protected.

what do you do to keep your children safe in the sun and at what age?

My dad is greek and had a unique way of dicipline. whenever we did something wrong we had a family meeting after talking about it we decide about physical dicipline for instance my sister one time got spanked for 45 minutesfor coming late around 2 am when she was 16 , ...and every single member of family should contribute ) mom or dad hit ,rest hold the person ) that way everyone saw the consequence of doing wrong, one at a time, in this discipline and spank or cane the "bad" person... but we all turn out to be ok people we are all college graduate, drug free EVEN my rebel sister.. my dad has different stick from different materials which call it "tame tool" that a carpenter made for him,( oak is the most painful one trust me I couldn't seat for a week) is which was/still is my dad's closet, and we had to go on top of table in frog position and they hit you or depends on your punishment, palm of our hands or sole of our feet

I cannot understand it, you know I would give my last to my child, wherever they lived and they would get all inheritance, infact it is a reason to work hard, so you can provide the very best in life for your child.

I just do not understand does not matter whether planned or not, the fact you have had unprotected sex makes any of those arguements void.

Before anyone assumes Im a benefit scrouger I earn over £60k, own my house outright and continue to work. The child is the innocent party so why should the child's lifestyle suffer because a man has run off or is impossible to live with?

It just seems there is a connection missing for these men who often have been married to their partners, planned their children and so on. Then abandon their children, quite frankly I would not do that do a dog and why should others state or single working parents pick up the tab for men who choose not to pay that's immorral and makes for a terrible society.
