I agree with you. Anyone can be a breeder. And you know, there are so few people in the world, we definitely need more.
You just won a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo. But you can't fit the kids so you have to sell it and buy a nice mini-van.You just won a trip for two to Tahiti , but it's an adult resort and you couldn't leave the kids so how about a weekend at Barneyworld! Your jobs going great and you have the chance to work in Aspen for the winter, surrounded by awesome snowboarding and perfect women. Oh sorry boss, you know the kids are school and little Jimmy has karate and Susie has ballet....listen Boss, thanks for the offer but let Johnson take it-he doesn't have kids......Boy it's a good thing you didn't marry that Stephanie girl and have kids with her-turns out she was a psycho! Well, now you're seeing that Victorias Secret model anyway so, it's all good!......What's that buddy? Your kids are driving you crazy and you wish you could just take a break from the whole parenting thing? You can! IN 16 YEARS! ......Wow, I made a killing on the stock market! I wish I could just take a year and travel the world. Wait, I don't have kids, I CAN!.......Wow, I don't know how I got so lucky, but women really seem to like me! And none of them mind that I have a different one sleep over every night!.......I wish I could retire early and just enjoy myself. I have the money...well, would have if it weren't for the twins going to Yale and little Tommy's tuition at Andover and it looks like he will go to med school bless his heart so I will retire...when I'm 70!
Yeah, only people with kids can truly enjoy life! You have to see things through a child's eyes! Oh yeah? Have fun! I'm busy seeing things through MY eyes!
IT"S EASIER TO CHANGE A CONDOM THAN A DIAPER!
Breeder?NEVER!
Also, people who say if you're childless you will be lonely, depressed, eat TV dinners, get drunk and get hurt...what? If that's what you did before you had kids, did you really work out your issues or just bury them with the distraction of kids, only to have them haunt you later.... And also, I've rented a condo in the Chilean Andes this coming summer for a month to ski and snowboard my brains out ( I own my own business so I can do that...I don't have KIDS!)

to each his own...
he can not:
-buy a corvette (only seats two)
-he will have less energy
-he will have little or no privacy (during the throws of passion, there is a tiny knock on the door and you HAVE to answer it)
-cant get drunk any time you want or walk around naked all weekend with wifey
-much more work to do, for which you are unpaid
-loss of self, no time to read a book for an hour, omg try studying with a kid crawling up IN your book (less time to do what you want because your main responsibility is the kids, 24/7)
-spend all your money on the kids, less vacations
-have to be MORAL and a good example... (all the time... which sucks, let me tell you :-)
-have to cook dinner breakfast lunch.... cant just pop a beer, so basically, parent= short order cook and maid
-when they go to kindergarten, they WILL get head lice, and that is some great critter crawling fun there (note the sarcasm)
-illness puke poopy diapers
-they grow up and want more expensive things
-then they get HORMONES omg Puppylove and all that.... have to have that sex talk with them... great fun
-dentists doctors hair appointements extracurricular activities grades homework trouble in school, WILL THEY GRADUATE skipping school, tattoos, piercings, backtalk, zits, whining talking on cell phone too late... WHAT A 'C' in history?!?! YOU made a 'C' in history?!?!? did you brush your teeth? what is all that stuff under your bed? No you can NOT have a pet llama.
moaning THERES NOTHING TO EAT IN THIS HOUSE (is what they say after you buy 300 bucks worth of groceries)
Wait you said 5, how many is that and IM JUST GETTING WARMED UP
Disclaimer:
I love my kids, wouldnt trade them for anything. While every word i said above is true, I was merely going for the ten points.
Absolutely the ONLY thing wrong with kids is... they grow up too damn fast and want to leave.
Mine are 15 and 7, and I remember the day they were born as if it were yesterday and those are the 2 best days of my life.
My 15 yr old is going to the MOVIES with a BOY who is in HIGHSCHOOL today!
THEY MIGHT HOLD HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah add that they grow up to my list, and THAT truly does suck

Your profile says it all, doesn't it? It doesn't sound like you are a very happy guy. Maybe your friend is right. As you get older, it does become time to grow up, take reponsibility, etc. And to be perfectly frank, there is no better feeling in this world than tiny arms around your neck while a little voice whispers in your ear I love you, you're the best mommy ever. And not so long ago, I thought I never wanted to have kids...I was never more wrong in my life!!!

An early morning cup of coffee on the front porch My house cat greeting me at the door at my return. Finding a new flower blooming in my yard Finding a treasure at a garage or yard sale A kind word and a smile from someone Making a card and stickers for my 2 yr. old granddaughter and knowing she will love getting something of her own in her mailbox I suppose these things could be called trivial, but they are important to me. Little things make me happy. <3

billygirl and icecreamrules are both so very right...
as parents of multiple kids (or even one) we do miss out on somethings.... once in a while I miss not being able to just get in my car and go out... or pick up a new outfit for myself...
here is what I would miss out on though....
when I get a hug from one (or the wonderful times all at once!) of my children... you get all the love....
I get to splash in puddles and laugh the whole while.... and look at a spider's web, we're going to build snowmen, snow angels have snow ball fights (so we need to build some really cool forts) and then we'll attach the dogs to a sled and put the little ones in it and watch them laugh and play today.... then we'll have hot chocolate with whipped cream and marsh mellows... maybe not as much fun as recovering from a hangover all alone and wondering if the guy you are dating really cares or will call soon.. or not..... or if valentine's will anyone send flowers? I know I will be busy... I have SEVEN special someone's who want to be mine.... who tell me daily... "mommy love you".... and just want to snuggle up with me..... unconditional love....
I find that kids that want to tease friends or anyone, do so because deep down they are jealous and want the same.... hmmmmm?

Entertain/parties - oops..thats not true...I have kids and we often entertain
Go to the movies - We still do that too, that's why there are babysitters
Go camping - still do that
Umm..sorry but I cant think of anything I am missing out on. I've already "been there, done that" with the bar hopping so it's not much of a thrill anymore.

You are pathetic. You think you have it better, but you have never had children, so you can't even make that statement. Your friend knows how the single life is AND how it is being a parent, so he CAN make the statement that he's got it good. That is like me saying I like McDonalds over Burger King if I never ate at burger king before. How the heck do you know if you got it better?
