I have so many old toys but in great shape that i would just hate to just throw away ... Is there somewhere I can bring them. I tried our local good will store but they only take clothes & shoes ... things of that nature.

Goodwill . Another good idea would be to donate them to a homeless shelter, those kids really need to have some happiness. Even some food banks will take the toys to hand out to the children.

Try a church. They have preschools and nurseries. Also, libraries, YMCA's, contact the Red Cross to see if they know of a needy family, we have an organization called Combined Community Services that helps families that have lost their homes or single parent families. If all else fails, contact a church. They may need them or have a "food pantry" program that would give them to a needy family. Welfare office may be able to help you find other organizations. Do you have a Salvation Army? They usually take donations for a store or for their outreach programs to needy families.

You could have a rumage sale. Or around x-mas time donate them to toys for tots. Some good will or other second hand stores do except toys. Is there any other second hand stores near you?

I could suggest that you could sell them off on ebay - that way you'll know that it'll go to someone who would use it again. OR: If you belong to a church group, I'm very sure that they'll take it in to distribute it to less fortunate church members. If that's not an option either, you can always try to find someone from the Salvation Army.

You can donate them to a church Nursery School or if you want to have a yard sale (with the help of your kids) and then donate the profits to a children's hospital, orphanage, homeless shelter, etc. Your kids will learn a valuable lesson from it!

See if your local Headstart or a local daycare will take them. A woman's shelter might also be a good place to check.
