Ohh dear god, Yes, it was so embarrsing, I was in the mall, I was being really bad or something, my mom spanked me, IN A MALL!!!. ya know where there is hundreds of people.

I thnk that I never had a spanking in public, and to tell you the truth I don't think I ever got one... but I know that we had a belt in the closet and the closest I ever got was being put over the knee. Usually by this point I was apologizing for what I did and they would let it go. I do remember why I go to that point, and it was because I bite my sister so hard she was bleeding pretty bad and I did it because I didn't get my way. I knew I was wrong and only the thought of getting a spanking was enough to change my behavior. Over all though I was a pretty good kid, according to my parents, and they said they only resorted to spanking when it was really serious. My Dad was the one who usually got the belt or warned to get it because I was Daddy's little girl and I hated to make him upset with me, so when I knew I had made him angry I was upset. I never got punished much in public because I was a shy kid so was good outside the home. I don't think that people should resort to spankings in public because it can make everyone uncomftable, and in general I think it isn't the right way to punish your child. I believe that at a early age they should be taken to the side, sat down and spoke to about behavior and asked why they were acting a certain way before it gets to a spanking level of behaviour. My mom had me trained early that when she thought I was getting out of hand, all she had to do was grab my left shoulder and guide me away and I knew I was getting to the point of some kind of trouble. Even till I was 16 all she had to do was grab my shoulder and give me a little squeeze and I knew I was not making her happy. Also, my parents gave us positive reenforcement and we knew from a young age that if we behaved, that we would be rewarded which helped avoid the spankings. This subject is so touchy cause hitting is not a good idea, but I have heard stories where I can understand why it could be used.

Yes, plenty of times. My mom would explain the rules before going into a store (don't ask for stuff, don't act like an idiot, and when I say no, it means no), then when we were in the store and broke one of the rules we got a good old fashioned a** whipping. That was back in the good days when people minded their own business and it was expected that a parent spank their kid if they were acting out, no matter where you were. These days, if someone tried that, they would have CPS called on them or something stupid like that. I agree that you should be allowed to spank your kids wherever. I hear all the time, "My son/daughter is an angel at home, but when we go out in public they are terrible." Thats because kids are smart and know when they aren't going to be disciplined and thats when they act up. I turned out just great thanks to my parents who believed in being my parents instead of my best friends.

I always did as I was told so no but as a mom I don't hesitate to spank my son in public and forget the car he gets it right then and there.and I have never spanked him twice for the same thing so lesson learned.

Yes. I am 12 in 7th grade now. But when I was in 3rd grade I was in the mall for a long time shopping and started to get tired of being there. I started to complain that it was time to go do something else. Mom said I had to wait because she needed to do some more shopping and so did my sister. I said fine i am leaving and walked away. Mom let me go thinking I would not really leave. I left the department store and she had to go to security to page me in the mall. I went where they said and mom had this look that scared me a bit. She took me into the guards office where there were several guards around and gave me a good hard spanking over my jeans. Then she said "When we get home you will get the rest of this with the brush on your bare butt."
I was embarassed but now that i think of it I realize she simply cared and was concerned. She stil does and still is at times. I understand and hope i can be half as good a Mother as she is,

Yes, I was about 6 or 7. I ran off at the beach. I was a little wanderer, I just got distracted by one thing then another. Next thing you know, I was off on my own. I do remember thinking I had everything in control. When I came back, my parents were to say the least in a panic. My dad gave me the worst bare bottom spanking of my life. I don't remember much of that event, however I do remember dangling over his lap, seeing every ones worried looks on their faces for what was about to happen to me :(:(:( Lets just say, I learned my lesson, and never did that again!!!

The youngest of three children, I was a spoiled Daddy's girl. I had often tested the boundaries of my Mother's patience. My mother took us to Wal-Mart one day. I think I had gotten into a debate with her over a Barbie Doll. As I can recall, I threw myself to the ground and threw the most outrageous fit. She calmly picked me up of of the floor and lit my a** up in front of God and all creation. At the time, the embarrassment factor outweighed the pain in my rear-end. Oh yes when I was 9 years old at my stepmothers family s house on Christmas I slaped my cousin in the face. My stepmother pulled my pants down in front of everyone pulled me over her knee and spanked me about 20 times. It was so embarrasing and my butt stung.
