If someone was having a really bad day and just wanted to feel loved and you had the oppertunity to brighten their day, would you take it or would you kick them while their down? and if given the chance to express yourself what words would you use to uplift them please be creative but honest

It depends upon how emotionally close I was to the person, but I'd start by giving him or her a smile. It has a surprising ability to lift one's spirits. I was having a difficult day once and, as I walked into a grocery store, I saw an older woman walking with a cane with some difficulty. I stopped and held the door for her, and she gave me a beautiful smile that stuck with me for the rest of the day.
So, for a stranger, I'd start with a smile. Then, depending upon the situation and how well I knew the person, I'd see what I could do to make him or her feel better.

Do you like the person? If so, Take the opportunity. If you don't like the person...don't kick them while they are down. That is mean and you don't know how close to the edge anyone is. How would you feel if you said mean negative things then they committed suicide? Would you want that opportunity back to do differently? Always be nice to people....remember....you will have a bad day once in a while too! You could only hope that an angel will be there to uplift you.

I wish I knew the case of this, but do NOT kick them while they are down, it only makes things worse.
And periosnally, I can't tell you what to tell this person. You just need to dig it from your heart and say what your thinking (and what you MEAN to say.)
Just do what you can.

I'd say, "I'm a good listener. Sometimes talking about it helps." Or, if I believed they were just having a pity party then I might tell a very funny joke to lift their spirits.
