Thanks.. she is 13.

A good rule of thumb is subtract 20" from your waist to get the right size jeans. So she should start by grabbing a couple things in size 14 and 16, and see what's more comfortable.

Also, do me a favor? Tell her don't worry about the number written on the tag in the jeans - nobody else can see that number anyway. Just find what feels good. And don't hear these haters and their tiny waists.

Its probably something like a size 16. I'm 13 and I wear a size 14 and my dad wears a size 32. I fit into his jeans. So its probably a size 16

It would probably be about a size 16. Size 9 - 11 is my size and my husband wears size 32 and they are too big on me. Depends where you go to buy clothes. The boutiques size their clothes smaller, whereas the big department stores allow more room in their sizes.

Hope this helps
