From what I know this would get rid of interest in alcohol too.

its one jab and alcohol or addicitive drugs are well boring and why bother?

Even if all around... you still have freedom of choice its just it should become as boring as trainspotting

Also, if the ability to get a buzz from drugs or alcohol is taken away, what would people replace it with? Some people will always want to get a kind of high. (Not that I advocate the use of drugs)

Er easy...

music, dancing, stage diving, surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, powerkite sports, abseiling, scuba diving, snogging,

get the point?

Look it does not control...

it simply removes the control certain drugs have on people by making them well boring.

So you find better things to do.

And no addicts, no drug related crime, all the gangsters have no money etc

Lets see.... Me and a mate dont do drugs nore have any interest in alchol unless talking shot drinks on fire in some dentist chair getting cheered on.

For buzzes go to concerts, in the middle of the moshpit, crowd surf, dance, get glow body painted, join in party games, like have entered full onty competitions after the girls wet t shirt,

Done lots of adventure sports inc playing with tigers here.

I have never heard of this, but there are good and bad sides to this.

Good- the NHS wont have to spend lots of money treating alkaholics and drug addicts.
The crime rate would fall dramatically

Bad- it takes away the freedom of choice.
How safe can this be?

Very scary - this would set a precedent for other ways of controlling the population.

as other poster said, bit ironic and hypocritical to exchange one drug for another, and what about the many people who are predisposed never to take drugs anyway? would it have the opposite effect?! if alcohol were discovered today i doubt it would be legalised at all, yet here we are offering that drug 24/7 whilst stating ALL other drugs are evil and bad. where's the sense in that? i'd rather bump into a stoned bloke on a dark night than a drunk one, bit of a generalisation but you know where i'm coming from i'm sure! some people react badly to drugs, whether liquid, solid, powder, legal or illegal. some legal drugs are obtained illegally anyway so what you gonna do? have cctv in every house/shop/office?? as an aside, does asker of this question have any kids of his own or work with kids?

I don't think that it is a good idea if you raise your kids as best you can you should be able to trust there judgment when they get older and if they were to try drugs or any thing else then its part of being a parent to explain to them the pros and cons of it.

Thats some scary stuff right there you know. What would control next? Would we have a vaccination against over eating? A vaccination against alcohol? A vaccination against free thinking? A vaccination against .... well what would be next?
