If you are fat and you feed your kids so much that they become dangerously obese, is it child neglect?

I am the mother of twin daughters, aged 9. Recently they have started bully like behavior in and out of school which is easy since there are the both of them.
I have tried taking things away, and the like, but they are not working.
This last Friday, the school they attend, called and put them on a temporary suspension for fighting. I was very angry, and told my daughters that they were grounded, and I would let them know what thier punishment would be soon.
However I cant think of anything that might work, and Im not to keen on the whole spanking thing; or is that the way to go. Anyone with anything helpful.

we'd rather them NOT kiss him? They're coming to see him for the first time next week, and will be traveling on a plane. I don't want them kissing him on the mouth after traveling and being around hundreds on people in the middle of flu season. Is that rude??? Also we've asked them to stay in a hotel because we only have a one bedroom apt. and my husband and I and the newborn and 2 cats all live there, and I feel it would be too crowded and messy with them sleeping on the living room floor for 4-5 nights. Then the middle of the night wakings when I like to go into the kitchen and get a drink and pump sometimes. Is this asking too much??? My husband's kinda making me feel bad about asking them to do this because he thinks we only should've been able to ask them to do this when he was FIRST brought home from the hospital, but not now??? Any advice?

My 10 year old daughter actually looked at me and told me to f.o. I washed her mouth out with soap. My husband spanked her several times on her bottom with a belt. It was horrible hearing her cry and plead for him to stop. Was this too harsh? What else could we have done?

My marriage is basically over(thank goodness) Im broke and Im a wreck emotionally, I dont want to cry in front of my kids but sometimes I do, How do I find the strength to be a good mom and carry on. Somedays I cant even get out of bed, Im a woman thats been beaten down so far that I dont know who I am anymore, why isnt the well being and love for my children enough, maybe Im just depressed, any ideas?

I have noticed that mothers treat their sons very differently from their daughters. It's like their son hung the moon or something and they act as if their son could do no wrong. Most of my friend's mother-in-laws (and mine) behave this way. I'm just curious why this is. Any input from mothers who have boys?

My husband is overseas and I am home alone with our two small children our son is 4 and out daughter is 2 months. I have a cold and I really don't feel good but my children are always needing me for something so I can't just lay down for a nap. I am breastfeeding so I have to be careful what medicines I take. I was wondering how other moms cope with being sick and still running your house by yourself. I don't have anyone to help me, and plus its freezing rain outside so the roads will be slick anyway.

I watch 2 little girls every other weekend and the younger one who is almost 4 doesn't know her colors, doesnt really know her numbers and can not recognize letters by sight.
I was horrified at this since my 3yr old knows all those and he just turned 3 in December.
Today I worked with her for an hour, doing repetition on her colors and still she just couldn't do it. She has told me she doesnt want to learn.
I've found out the mother doesnt help at all ( that is worse ) and the daycare she goes to is obviuosly not doing their job.

She can't watch tv the rest of the day until she learns the 6 colors that I have been going over with her. How would you tell a parent that they may need to have their child evaluated for a learning disability? I mean after an hour of going over 6 colors ONLY, she should've picked up on it

Any suggestions? or should I just say well her mother doesnt care why shouldI ? But I just cant stand the fact letting that happen

Okay i am in my first year of college and a commuter.I choose to go to a 2 yr college instead of a 4 yr (even though i got into 3 colleges that were 4 yrs)so i could figure out what i wanted to do and be with my bf.My parents feel like i made a mistake by doing this but are paying for my college tuition,i live at home free and most of my car insurance(i only pay 12.50 a week that goes toward it). They have signed me up for barbrazion a school that gives classes for modeling/acting/personal development to help me with self confidence class is 6-9 p.m on thursday .My college classes are monday 11-1:50 in the afternoon anthropology,history friday 10:00-12:50 a.m,abnormal psychology 6-8:40 p.m,and english 11-1:50 p.m.I work for my mom's landscape company as a secratary currently doing only 6-8 hour a week because its winter and only make 8.50 an hour.None of this includes chores.My bf keeps demanding time from me and wants to borrow money that he never pays back.I love him though?

I live in Arkansas but I heard about the proposal to make a law in California to ban spanking kids uder the age of three. There is a difference between abuse and spanking. I think that's why teenagers are getting into so much trouble nowadays b/c parents are too afraid to spank. I respect everyone's opinion on this.

One of my children found some porn magazines. should i tackle them to see which one it was or leave it? ~~~ ok i have a son 14 and a daughter 10. the porn mags were mine (just penthouse type not hard core) the mags were in a locked drawer in my cupboard. my keys are hidden but one of my children obviously found them, it is certain they looked in my drawer and left the keys on top of my cupboard ~ to me making it obvious they had seen in side. i think it was my daughter but am not sure. hence the original question. this was my second question since signing on with yahoo so i have learnt to provide more info in future. thanx for takin the trouble to help me xxx

Why do parents think the ONLY reason their kid would grow up and have sex is graphic cover everything sex ed , the media and availability of condoms?

Ie why think you kid will ONLY grow up if exposed to this?


Do parents genuinely think their kid wont start periods, grow brests, develop desire and sex drives for boys, or boys wont start masturbating, develop an interest in girls, start getting facial hair, and competitiive

Without sex ed, without nudity on TV, without contraceptives?


Why do they think other animals end up having sex?


Often see this . we must not encourage kids... or if we tell them about something they will want to do it argument

Well I heard some like getting peed over, or croc clips on nipples...

Does not make me want to do it... im like ewuuuu or Those clips come near me and your dead meat.

Likewise just as know what gays do does not make me want to be gay.

me and my ex husband spilt 4yrs ago and i have tried really really hard to raise my eldest daughter. she is now 10 but is a real hand. if things dont go her way she throws a tantrum that involes everyone. she has always wanted to live with dad and i finaly gave in on thursday. i have agreed only so that she is happy she will still see me and go on holiday with us. but it just hurts so much. i know my life will be so much easier but she is my child and i feel like have failed.
everyone says i will get the best bits of her now and hope this is true.
