As long as she wants to go and you aren't pushing her, why not!?
Just recently I have heard some studies that mention that children who are involved in extracurricular activites that involve exercise 2-4 days a week have higher marks in school, sleep better and have a lower risk of obesity and all of those side effects.
The only worry you should have about gymnastics is that a lot of girls in that over the age of 11 begin to have problems with anorexia and bullimia because there is so much pressure to be thin and lightweight.
For now, let her enjoy it!

As a matter of principle it should NOT be crazy to send the child to gymnastics 2 "days" a week. Questions are: Does the child enjoy doing it? What kind of gymnastics? How hard? How gentle? What kind of professionals are there involved?

If she loves it, it's probably okay for 1 session (each session is about 8-12 weeks, right?); then go back to just once a week and choose a different activity for the 2nd time slot. Maybe something with music or art. This will teach her moderation, to have balance in her life, and to try new things; it may open her up to new interests, or let you know what is NOT her thing. Also, anything in extremes (too much or too little) is unhealthy; we tend to over schedule in our society, so make sure that the rest of her free time is unstructured for fun, creative play.

I go with my daughter to like a gymboree sort of gym once a week and she's only 19 months old....I wouldn't see a problem with it...kind of suprised that they have classes 2x per week but if your daughter really enjoys it, I wouldn't think it would be a prob....as long as you're not being a "stage mom" and pushing her to be and do what you didn't get to do. Know what I mean?

It's a great thing to do. It lets them get exercise which is good for them and their burning off the energy will make it more pleasant for you at home. Gymnastics is great because it also helps them with balance.
It also gets her use to listening to someone that is much like a teacher will be and to interact with others and it builds self confidence as she learns and can show off new things.

I started dance class at 3. It was one hour per week. Let your daughter decide. Have her go twice per week and if it seems to be too much, drop it back to once per week. If the studio gives you a bad time about it, find a new place to take her. At four she needs to be having fun, not getting overtired or stressed out.

Does she have a pediatrician? perhaps you ought to take her there somewhat of going to the er and pressing cares. My 6yr previous is going contained in the path of the comparable component. I took him to the dr on Weds and he or she reported that's a scourge. final night his temp grow to be over 102 lower back. It in basic terms has to run that's path. If she has eco-friendly snot and mucus, i might take her lower back in. If each little thing is obvious, in basic terms shop her properly hydrated and mushy. you are able to commerce Motrin and an hour later provide Tylenol if the Motrin on my own isn't breaking the fever. Fevers in teenagers can get alot larger than adults. They tolerate fevers plenty extra advantageous than adults.

I think that's great!! Especially if she can follow directions well. Gymnastics class is great for exercise but she also gets social interaction and can learn what good forms of exercise are.
