My little guy is almost two and has always been a good crib sleeper. He shows no signs of wanting to climb out or anything, lol; I think he likes the security of it. I don't see a big reason to change our set-up yet, and am a little wary of changing things. I know when we try to put him down to sleep in a toddler bed he'll be able to just hop out and get right back up and I'm reluctant to have to deal with that (though I know we will have to eventually). When did you move your little one from a crib to a bed, and how did it go? Any tips?

I have been living off my savings for a while now and the bank account is starting to look a little slim...so I have to go to work or at least go to school. This is my problem. My daughter will NOT take a bottle. For about a week or two she would take it from me only but that was only after a real battle. Recently6, she has refused the bottle and pacifier. If I try to push it we eventually both end up in tears. I have tried all the tips abou7t introducing a baby to a bottle but she just won't take it. My friend tried the other night and she ended up calling me to come feed her because my baby was arching her back and just screaming her head off. When I arrived they were standing on the porch fand she only had a diaper on because my friend was saying that my daughter was getting way too hot from the struggle. She will also make gagging sounds and choking sounds. Twice she has forcefully spit up from screaming. THis is without even getting ANYTHING from the bottle.

My 6.5 month old baby has three day sleeps some days for between 45 minutes and 1hour 20 minutes each time and other days has two, two hour sleeps instead. It's hard to plan things to do during the day because I dont know when she will need to go to sleep (she doesn't sleep in the car or her pram). Any practical suggestions?

My 6 month old cut his first tooth this week, but he is a thumb sucker!. He has made a little "cut" on the bottom of his thumb. How can I prevent this from getting worse aside from weaning him from his thumb. His physician tells me not to stop his thumb sucking yet. Has anyone experienced this? what can be done? Will his thumb get infected?

My mother has asked me to post this question on her behalf hoping someone can help her out. She has a 9 month old son and has been having problems getting him to sleep at night. He wakes up every 45 minutes wanting to be held(at least thats what she thinks.) He cries and cries and when she picks him up he goes right back to sleep only to wake up again 45 minutes later. I have suggested putting together a nighttime routine for him thinking that would help and she said she is going to try. I have reason to believe it has something to do with his diet. She feeds him grilled cheese, lolipops and anything else that is around the house, whihc I have always disagrred with. She only gives him 4 ounces of formula at a time and not very often. I know that a baby his age still requires formula or breast milk(until 1 year.) My daughter who is almost 5 months eats a 7 ounce bottle 4-5 times a day and he is twice her age and eats less than half as much. Could he be hungry?

My daughter is 4 months 1 week and she's been biting while breastfeeding. My 1st daughter did the same thing and I had to stop breastfeeding her at six months cause I was bleeding and in lots of pain. I would like to make it to six months AT LEAST w/ my second daughter but don't know if I can handle the pain. I would pump if I could ... but I'll pump for 20mins or longer and only get 2oz if I'm lucky. (any suggestions on how to help me get more milk while pumping would be great).... so anyway I've tried everything I can think of to get her to stop biting me now... I've called my local lactation consultant, docs, and vistied several sites... just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or secrets to help me continue breastfeeding????
