I know some people are telling you that you should wait one hour and then it's OK to feed your baby. But just so you know, alcohol stays in your system for a while. Longer than an hour that is for sure.
The more you drink, the longer you have to wait for it to completely get out of your system.
If you were to go out drinking with your friends and get tipsy, and the next morning you feel your hang over. You still have alcohol in your system. It takes quite a while to get it out of your system.
Your best bet is to pump before you go out drinking, whether it is one drink or 5 drinks. Pump and freeze the milk so you don't have to worry about feeding your baby milk that may have some alcohol in it. Be on the safe side.
Hope this has helped. I'm telling you the truth so I hope you'll listen to my advice.

Never drank more than an occasional glass of wine or beer, after the babie was at least a couple months, but what I would do was pump. Then mark the bottle. Then my "non-alcoholic" milk, I would dilute the "alcholic". I hated to dump, plus the amount I drank was probably in the ok limits anyway.

Mommyto.... is correct, there is no need to pump and dump as long as you wait for the alcohol to leave your system before you nurse again.
And, some LC even recommend drinking one dark beer before nursing. It helps with milk supply and calms mom down.

You don't need to pump and dump. Once the alcohal is out of your system, its out of your milk. So... depending on your weight and everything, roughly an hour per drink.

Just dont drink? Its ok to have one glass then feed an hour later so just stick with the one glass. There is no need for binging.

You don't need to drink if you are breast feeding. Go ask your Dr. and see what he tells you.
