Newborn & Baby - March 2007

This is my first pregnancy and all day today I have been peein more than I ever did through these 9 m and 1 w. Today I also felt lots of pressure in my pelvic area. I don't know if I should call the doctor or not. Contractions have also became more frequent but it's just all constant lower back pain so I can't feel the peaks.

I am currently breastfeeding and formula feeding my 6 week old. I know you are supposed to boil tap water before putting it in their bottles, but im using Dasani bottled water. Im wondering if i still need to boil that water. Anyone know?

Its been in the box since we got it as a gift (yes, I registered for it) and now it is half way out, but my daughter is outgrowing her infant car seat. Can the bigger carseats fit in this stroller? If you have it or have a friend or family member with it, please let me know. Otherwise... maybe I'll sell it to the baby resale shop. I couldn't find any info about this in the instruction manual nor online. Thank you!!!

A few questions actually. Was it your choice not to find out? Or did the baby just not cooperate? What was it like when the doctor said "it's a boy/girl". If you could do it over, would you have found out? How did you prepare all of the baby stuff?

What do you think of the name Jonah Caleb Allen is this a cute name or what.... 28 weeks preg wend and this is a name I choose. My 6 month old son doesn't seem to have any teeth coming through,although he is dribbling like mad ,chewing on everything,and has had a bit of a cold and fever for a while.
He doesn't seem to be in any pain but has become very restless at night and not sleeping for more than about 2 hours at a time.Could all this be connected.

I have a friend who has a baby girl who i love to death and she's starting to talk a little , the other day i bought a childerens book that i can read to and i try to get her to say certain very easy words like dog or apple, she can gibber gabber and throw in a few words but this is a little before i started but i wanna know is it to early to teach her to say anything without cluttering her little mind lol

When freezing bottled breast milk, can you freeze the bottle with the nipple (teat) on it or do you have to replace it with a sealing disc? We're using Avent products.

1) To keep my milk supply?
2) Any other preparation tips from other moms who had to travel away from their lil ones.
My son will be looked after by his dad and his grandparents. The thought of the travel away from my tiny tot is heartwrenching, but i really have to keep this job.

I recently switched my son who's almost 9 months old to soy formula because all of a sudden he got horrible diarrhea from what I believe was a developed milk allergy since it went away when I switched to Prosobee. My mom told me that infants are often milk intolerant but they grow out of it quickly and that I should just put him on regular milk at 1 year. I know it's still a few months away so I'm just trying to figure it out. Since formula's easier to digest than real milk, should I try switching him back to milk-based formula and then switch to whole milk? do I go straight from soy formula to milk? or do I go from soy formula to soy milk to milk? Did anyone's baby have a milk allergy that went away when they got older and what did you do to switch? thank you!

I have decided to be a single parent by choice. I really don't want to "naturally" have a baby if I'm not married, although I would like to have one of "my own" someday.

I want to adopt, but I have specific wants. (race, etc.) And what I am looking for is generally hard to find I suppose. I think that you can pay someone to have a child for you, but doesn't that cost more than adoption? How much does adoptions run pricewise, and what are the statistics for finding a caucasion/white newborn girl 1 day old to 1 week old?

My sister is having a baby boy and has little money to spend so I am trying to help out by sending a box full of clothes toys etc to her but I am also on a budget. Yesterday i was at my aunt's house with my son and my little cousin asked to hold him so i was like No! he is to small right now wait till he is older so i layed my baby on the bed so he could take a nap i walked out of the room (not knowin my cousin was in there) and wit down stairs wit my aunt next thing i knew my baby was screaming at the top of his lungz! I ran up stairs my con was on the floor and my cousin had a plastic bat hoovering over him! I told my aunt what he had done she told me my 3y\o cousin couldn't of hit him he must have rolled out the bed! he is too yung to roll out the bed! please help she won't believe me now my son has a big briuse on his face wat should i do! please help me!

I have a 4 month old breastfed baby. How do i know if he a diarrhea? I mean it's all pretty runny. He usually has 2-3 BM a week and the last two days he has had 4 BM. I recently started him on a couple of teaspoons of rice cereal a day, to help with his acid reflux.
