we talk to our pediatrisian about her dry skin and she call it baby ecsema. She ask about whats the opposite of dry she said and answer, wet. The skin needed a moist so she told me to bath her everyday and rub some crisco vagetable oil within two minutes after she got out from the shower and pat her dry. I did what she said but it didnt work it only make it worse so i stop and put some mometazone twice a day for five days and of course it work just like hydrocortizone it go away and comes back, while some doctor would say no bath every two to three days. And now that it came back again i didnt want to use it again it might not good for her if she uses it in a long period of time. I want to put loition or oil on her skin most lotion that i use doesn't seem to work to please I nee your help

I had plunoric stenoisis as a baby. My 1st born ended up on alimentum formula and is still on a lactose free diet. Today is day 2 of the soy and she really has not improved. When she spits up she draws her legs in and literally screams as if she is in such pain. She cries just about non-stop all day and all night. This started at 6 weeks and on Friday she will be 8 weeks old. She also spits up alot a times, a little, and sometimes it is forceful. But, she always is spitting up especially during and after meals. Additionally, she is always hungry. Nothing seems to make her full. I was feeding her every 3 hrs but, she was taking 5 oz. I am now having her eat every 4 hrs and she takes 5oz more if I let her. l called my ped. and she sorta blew off my concerns and said give the soy three days and then give me a call if you are still having problems. I am doing all of the right things to alleviate spitting up. It is so hard to hear your little one scream when she is in pain.??

I've been at home with my baby for 4 months. I am constantly busy, I change, feed, burp, play with baby, put him down for naps, swing him, carry him, talk to him. Then when he's napping or playing by himself, I'm sterilizing bottles, breast pump accoutrements, pumping (oh by the way, I pump exclusively), washing dishes, cleaning up after a dog and myself, doing laundry, running errands, vaccuming, sweeping, cooking, mowing the yard, taking out trash, etc etc. And my dear darling husband wonders how it's possible that I am busy ALL DAY from morning till night, when "all" I have to do is "stay home and take care of the baby." I must add that he is a long haul truck driver, and when he is home for his little weekend, I really do let the house go, so he never sees me doing any of this stuff. He's beginning to act like I am eating bon bons all day, painting my nails and getting a suntan.

Other moms: what do YOU do all day, how do you make it seem worthwhile to your sig. other?

I am a first time mother and my baby fusses whenever i put him down. He wont sleep at night unless he is in the bed with me and fusses if hes laying alone during the day too. I try giving him a pacifier but he will eventually spit it out and fuss or cry. Its not too bad but I'd like to get him to the point where he can sleep in his craddle and not want to be held all day so i can get some things done around the house.

Any answers from experienced mothers would really help. Thanks!!

I found a nice crib (made by Davinci, either the "jenny lind" one of they have an "Emily") but anyways... do I have to buy a seperate mattress??? Or don't they just come with one?
I assumed they came with one, but on the description it doens't say anything about one being included.

I have a beautiful 12 day old baby girl. She is very tiny, weighing only 5lbs 5oz at birth, and was 5 days overdue. She is very healthy though. But now I being a first time mom, I have 2 questions. Her belly button is really gross and is bleeding a bit here and there, what should I do? And her arms, legs, and torso are very dry and scaly, what should I do for that? Baby cream doesn't seem to be working.

When my son was born, I wasn't able to breastfeed him right away so we gave him a bottle and he took it just fine. Then my milk came so I completely stopped the bottle and did not give him a soother either because I was told that baby might get nipple confusion. Then a month ago, ds was about 8 months, the doctor told me that I have to supplement with formula because my milk isn't good enough for him anymore and baby isn't gaining weight at all.
We've been trying to give him a bottle ever since (about a month now), but he still doesn't know how to suck on it, he just chews on the nipple so he never gets anything out then he gets frustrated and pushes it away. We've tried changing the nipple. We've tried a sippy cup but he does not know how to suck on it either, so finally we tried a regular cup and he just takes like a sip or 2 then he gets frustrated and pushes it away too. I have tried using breastmilk in them thinking that the problem might be the formula but, same thing happens.

I am 6 mnths pregnant and my husband and I haven't fought in awhile. We used to fight because of my mood swings during pregnancy. Well, yesterday I came home, cleaned the house, put the chicken in the sink to defraust and I asked if my husband give me 5 minutes to rest. He put the chicken in the oven and then told me that I could handle the mash potatoes and vegetables. I kind of sighed and he said no don't worry about it, I will handle it. I took it as if he was being sarcastic and got mad but didn't say anything and started working on dinner. I messed up the mash potatoes & he got mad at me for wasting food. He said that he couldn't believe I messed up mash potatoes. Just the other day he burnt the garlic bread and messed up rice-r-roni, but I didn't complain. I ate it. What in the world? I feel like a terrible wife but I was in a lot of pain yesterday and needed to rest. I'm pregnant for goodness sake. Was he out of line? How can I explain to my husband pregnancy & how crazy it is?
