I am 27 weeks along and my dark line didn't show up til about 2-3 weeks ago. My line is really thin and very weak in color - usually I have to be in the right light to see it, but it is there for sure.
As for sleeping, I am usually a back and stomach sleeper (start on my back and wake up on my stomach). I have been sleeping on my side for the last few months (with the help of a body pillow) and I just hate it! Sometimes I still wake up on my stomach, but really just more like part way. Also, I take the time between "snoozes" on my alarm clock to sleep on my back for a few minutes in the morning. I miss sleeping on my back so much!
As for the baby not moving, it is not likely that your sleeping position did anything about that. I didn't start feeling the baby on a real regular basis til I was just past 24 weeks along. Now I feel her almost all the time, night and day. Just relax. Have a small bite to eat, lie down in a quiet place (if you can) and focus on your belly. If you don't feel any movement after an hour, try eating and relaxing again and/or call your doctor if you are worried.
Take care.

Ok first question - dark line...first pregnancy ...closer to delivery date. subscequant pregnancies about 20 wks. I still get mine here and there with my cycle.
Second question - sleeping on your stomach...it is fine to do as long as it is NOT hurting you, but the fear is that you are not giving the baby room to move also you could limit the room enough they tangle themselves in their cord. So they suggest not doing it. I am sure now that you know that you won't.
Final question - not feeling to many movements... ok well you are 22 wks so you should feel quiet a few...here are some techs to try
When to start: you should begin counting kicks around your 28th week (babys are just too unpredictable before that point and can often kick into fluid and you won't feel as much... so you'll just drive yourself nuts before this point)
At 28 wks you should count your kicks THREE (3) times a day. In the morning (when baby is likely to be the least active), in the afternoon, and in the evening (this is generally baby's most active time of day).
Have a glass of juice or a small snack, lay on your left side to keep the uterus off veins and arteries that can hamper blood flow to baby... she's more likely to be more active when you lay on your left side (btw... you can sit, with a pillow under your right buttock to tilt your uterus to the left also).
Look at the clock and start counting kicks. Once you've reached 10 kicks you can stop... and write down how long it took to get those 10 kicks. If you haven't felt 10 kicks in the first hour of counting, get up grab a glass of juice or a high protein snack (like a granola bar, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, etc) and then lay back down. CONTINUE counting from where you left off (no need to start over).
If it takes LONGER THAN TWO (2) HOURS TO GET 10 MOVEMENTS CALL YOUR OB RIGHT AWAY FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS!

Not everyone gets the dark line on their belly. I think mine started to show up sometime in the middle of my pregnancy - 20-25 wks I think.
You aren't supposed to sleep on your back because it can cause problems with your circulation. If you can comfortably sleep on your stomach, it's probably ok. They say the best way to sleep is on your left side, as it is best for the blood flow to the baby.
You are still early enough that its ok if you don't feel the baby move every day. Some women don't feel the baby at all until 22 weeks. If you are really worried, drink a glass of cold water or something sweet, and lay down on your left side. This should help wake the little one up and get him/her moving for you.
Good luck and congratulations!

My line showed up at 30 weeks. As far as sleeping, I know it isn't recommended for you to squish your stomach like that. I am a diehard stomach sleeper, but you can adjust pretty quickly. I kind of half way slept on my stomach for a while. Lie with one of your legs in bent, like you are making a four. It helped me adjust to now only side sleeping.

Hmm. I have to agree with the near first post. I have never, ever, seen any pregnant woman with a dark line down the middle of her belly (my wife included). So you may not get one :)

Mine showed up close to my 6th month. I had to sleep on my side, stomach and back both hurt. You may not feel your baby move everyday, especially this early but if you are uneasy, call your doc.
