He may have acid reflux, when my son did this, the doctor prescribed zantac. Did you go see his doctor after the 3rd day or before? if you went there after and the doctor still didn't do anything about it then you should go to another doctor or the hospital for a second opinion because vomitting this long is not good for your baby.

Sure, breastmilk may sometimes upset baby's tummy because of what mommy ate but the effect shouldn't last thing long unless you ate the same food for a fewdays straight. This is no reason to give your baby formula, I hate it when people blame every little problem baby has with breastmilk and try to resolve every little thing by giving formula.

Take him to the emergency room as soon as possible. Your doctor isn't a good doctor if he doesn't find that a baby that young has been vomiting so much is a very bad thing. Take him and get another opinion, quick! *Do not go by the opinions on here of what COULD be wrong with him. No one here is a doctor that has examined your son. Get him to the doctor!*

3 days of vomitting is bad for any child, especially one that is 3 months old.

I'd go into an urgent care or something to get another opinion. They may want to draw blood to make sure everything is ok.

When my 13 month old vomitted for 2 days, she had to get an IV in the ER. She did not have signs of dehydration, but her body was starting to consume itself.

I would call the doctor back and ask them about giving him Pedialyte. My son was a preemie and got the flu at 2 months old and his doctor told me to only give him Pedialyte because the electrolytes in it aid in brain development when they cannot have breastmilk or formula.

Try feeding him formula. Maybe...just maybe he can't tolerate your breastmilk...why because there may be something you are eating that is being passed on that makes him sick.
Also give him just a little more water then breast for a couple days to help his body flush out anything in his belly, but NOT to much!!! Just very little!!!
As for the flu...he can get it anywhere is it viral through the air and there are other flus that last longer then a couple days.

Best wishes

If it isn't the stomach flu, then maybe its something you ate and is comming out in your breast milk that doesn't agree with his little system.

My youngest was allergic to all dairy and stopped eating altogether. (I breast fed mine too) I had to quit eating all dairy. Even the slightest dairy would make him barf and curl up in pain.

give him a little water and see what happens
also a little formula and see what happens
If he doesnt vomit with either of those tell the Dr
I would take him back to the Drs either way
good luck
