My now preschool-age son has been eating them with his oatmeal for months to keep him regular (He used to have chronic constipation and the flax seeds helped to wean him off Miralax.) I think they would benefit my 9 month-old daughter, as she's still having problems adjusting to solids- straining and crying with every BM.

What a delemma! I don't want to endanger her in any way and I am not getting any rest. During the day I let her sleep on her stomach when I can watch her and she will go for a good 4 hours at a time. At night she is miserable on her back or side and dosn't sleep much at all (nor do I). She is 2 and 1/2 months old. What do people do when they start rolling over on their own? Is this very common. Are there a ton of babies and parents dealing with this?

My baby girl is almost 10 months old and for the past month she won't eat her jarred baby food. I try to make her eat just a little bit, but she won't sit still long enough for me to feed her and acts uninterested in it even though I KNOW she is hungry. I try to give her different kinds, so I know that she's not bored with the flavours. So all she eats now is those rice rusk things and her formula. I afraid that she's not get all the nutrients she needs. She ate her jarred food just fine and loved it since she was about 4 months old. How can I get her interested in her food again?

Why is that people think they have to get their babies full faster by feeding them cereal in a bottle as newborns or a few weeks old?
Is it to benefit the baby? Or is it to shut them up so they dont need all the attention and care that they really need?
It so does not make sense to me. A babies stomach is tiny and so obvioulsy needs small feeds frequently until their stomach is big enough to handle more milk which will keep them satisfied for longer.
Why do so many people start feeding their babies so early?
I thought it was a given that babies need constant attention and food which means sleepless nights due to feeding needs or overtired babies that dont sleep well etc.
So why try and stuff them full of food so they dont have to be dealt with?
What are your thoughts and feelings?

OK, I made a mistake. I took the dirty baby bottles out of the dishwasher (thought it had been ran) and then used them all day. Has anyone done this? Should we be worried? If you have a website to help me show her would be great

What I mean, is that I'm not to big on the whole "popping my breast out" and I want it to be easy for my hubby and everyone else if they are babysitting the baby. So, I've decided to pump the breast milk into bottles and feed like that. Is that okay? I won't be using pacifiers or formula.

My baby is 3 weeks old. I hate breast feeding. I have been pumping and giving it to her in a bottle. I have a great pump (Medela In Style). I'm getting about 3 oz from my right breast, but only 1.5 from my left. Is this a concern? Anything I can do? I pump every 3-4 hours.

My sister in law gave birth to twin girls five weeks ago. They were seven weeks early. They now weigh about six pounds.

There was a huge family arguement today after my sister in law left them here with my mother while she went to out grocery shopping. When she came back my mom was feeding one of the babies cereal.

My sister in law says it's too soon and doesn't want to hurt their little stomachs.

My mother says she did it with her three kids and its gets them fuller faster. She says that by the time my brother was a month old he was eating cereal and fruits and veggies.

Now they're both mad at each other. Who's right?
