Congratulations.
I agree with the other answers, Ashley and Ashlen are too similar to each other. Choose another name for the other twin.

--------------------
The boy's and girl's name Ashlen \a-sh-len\ is a variant of Ashley and Ashlynn.
The baby name Ashlen sounds like Ashlan, Ashlyn, Ashlin and Ashleen. Other similar baby names are Ashlei, Ashlee, Ashlea, Ashle and Ashten.

What I've gathered from parents of twins.. Rule of thumb, never name children with similiar names.. they'll already get mistaken enough, having Ashley and Ashlen will only screw things up more.. They'll be confused on who's getting called since the names sound so similiar.. Maybe try Ashley and Amanda.. or Ashlen and Adrianna or something... They can both have "A" names but they arent similiar.. I know a set of twins with Britney and Breanna both start with BR but they are very different.. It also smooths things over with some difference between the girls name.. You could even do Ashley and Asia or Ashlen and Asia

They are cute names, I bet you've given this a lot of thought. But think of the girls, will they like having names this close? If they are identical then they might think it's OK.
My friend named her identical girls Michelle and Melissa. They actually wanted names that were unique to them. They wanted to be an individual too, not just a twin. Would they tell their mom this? Nope, never did, never will.
Sorry, but I think one named Ashley or Ashlen is fine but please for their sake find a different name.

I think it's not good to name them ashley because ashley is a young witch in training who lives in a creepy mansion in Diamond City

Go to babynames.com and type them in...it usually gives pretty good meanings...also, just something that you may not have thought about, but those names are very similiar and could get very confusing, especially if they both preferred to be called Ash? Just something to think about, but i love those names!

ahh for the sake of your children, they will already look exactly alike, do you really want to give them almost the same name?
