The names are cute but how are they pronounced? Is it like Marilyn Monroe and Carlyn is supposed to rhyme with that? If so, you need to change the spelling to MARILYN & CAROLYN. I know it is very difficult to have to spell your name all the time for people 'cause Mommy gave her baby a cute spelling. Do the girls a favor and spell them the regular way. Or you can spell spell CAROLINE like this. That's the usual way. I do like the names though. You are a thoughtful mom, good luck!

It is of English origin. Modern blend of Mary (Latin) "star of the sea" and the -lyn {marilyn}

a variant of Caroline. It is of French, Latin and Italian origin. From the French form of Latin or Italian Carolina, a feminine derivative of Carolus {carlyn}

But I must say so tacky to name your twins rhyming names. They are after all two seperate human beings and if you gave birth to them at seperate times {meaning they were not twins} would you name them like this?Just my opinion and good luck with your pregnancy

OMG! My twin sister and I were name Merilyn and Jerilyn after we were adopted. We were born Teri and Jeri. We were adopted again as teens and chose our own names, Teri and Sheri. I looked it up and the names you have chosen mean, and I quote,

"Mommy loved you so much Carlyn and Marlyn, that she chose these beautiful names for you. Mommy loves you both so much. She thought of the prettiest ones she could think of". Those names mean, Mommy loves you two.

Good luck and congratulations Mommy! :)

Congradulations. Sounds like you'll be having some fun. I don't know if there are meanings to the names. They're both nice names but.....Do you really want rhyming names? They'll have plenty in common, especially if they're identical. Wouldn't it be better to give them names that are more individualized? Just a thought.
