i have a five week old going on 6 and he screams to when I'm giving him a bath when i first put him the bath he is fine but when im just about done he starts to scream.
keep checking the water it might be getting cold, use your elbow or buy one of those water thermometers for baby tubs (walmart, baby's r us,baby center) on line. if its cold just add some warm water to bring it back to a comfy temp. or just do the bath fast enough so she don't get cold to fast, you can do this in the bathroom and turn the heat up and shut the door. Also talk to your daughter those one-sided talks work wonders at times for me when im changing my son he don't scream as much when I'm putting on new cloths or diaper and when I'm giving him a bath.

Some little ones don't even like being undressed. My youngest used to scream when we changed her diaper.

While you've got her in the tub, try to look her in the eyes and talk soothingly to her. She'll be calmed by your voice and learn that it's not the end of the world.

My baby is 3 months old now and loves her bath time. She also gets a baby massage with calming baby massage oil after her bath, and she loves that.

Honestly, most babies scream when they are bathed...at this age anyway...she may one day LOVE it....but ist very new to her...she could be cold too....the water should be comfortable to the inside of your arm...not cool....keep a warme, wet washcloth over her upper body when you wash her lower body and vice versa....that will help keep her warm....get used to doing it quickly...and only once every two - three days or so....you can also sponge off her face and hair on the hanging table instead of doing this in a bath...it may be easier (faster) for you and more comfy for her....this too, shall pass!

Make sure the water isn't to hot or cold, by testing water with your wrist. If the water is fine then try soothing the baby, while your giving her a bath. she will eventually get use to it. Always hold her, and make sure she feels secure while she's in the tub, until she gets use to it.

We supply our 10 wk previous a bathtub each 3 days or so (she in many situations would not choose it extra in many situations than that). We use giggles and grins candy pea hair and physique wash. We in many situations use the lavendar stuff however the save did no longer have any and she or he seems to love the candy pea purely wonderful. i do no longer in many situations use lotion because of the fact her epidermis isn't in many situations dried out so we do no longer quite ought to undertaking approximately it. We do have a nighttime time rubdown gel for her made via johnson and johnson's, that is lavendar and helps her sleep if she's having a coarse nighttime. For tub time i'm getting interior the tub along with her because of the fact that is much less confusing and that i've got extra administration over how moist she's getting and the place the water is going. i think i'm purely extra comfortable doign that along with her. that's what i've got completed with all 4 of her older siblings.

Some babies don't like being in the water. Stick to washcloth baths for a while, then try a regular bath again when she's older.

Do you breastfeed? If so, breastfeed her in your bath and that will help her get used to the water being around her again, then just build off of that.
Remember to keep the bath water at the right temperature for her though!

Maybe the temperature of the water is too hot for her so get her out from the tub or maybe some soap went into her eyes or mouth.

when mai 4 month old was little(r) he would scream at tha top of his lungs but im sure almost all babies do that, they just dont like it, and maybe the temperature may be alittle too cold for your baby and nobody like the cold air hitting your body while your taking a shower.
jsut check to make sure the room is a comfy, warm temperature and to make it easier for you, have someone help you if its possible.
good luck

You know, you'll just have to do it fast because babies that age usually hates the water. My daughter was like that too.

Wait till she becomes 3 months old. The screaming then becomes a silent period of smiles and splashing of water.
